I went out at 11:30 and saw nothing, so here I sit waiting for 5:30. I swear I better see some fucking meteors or somebody at NASA is gonna pay.

Woke up early. The peak time was between 5:30 and 6:00. Saw about 8 in 10 minutes.

Actually I just went back out and it really picked up. Saw one every 10 seconds. I live in Princeton N.J. and it is usually pretty good around here.

You know, at about 3 AM last night when I pulled in, I could have sworn I saw a shooting star, but just chalked it up to being tired, and went inside.
If I had know it was a meteor shower, I'd have bought some coffee and stayed up.
Astronomy is cool. But you may still be a loser...

No, I was out there last night from 11-1 AM,waiting like a spaz too. My neighbors were very amused by my efforts. I knew that there was gonna be a morning display but there was no way that I could wake up at that time for it. I enjoy my snooze button way too much at 730,nevermind 530. I hope it was worth it for everyone who did manage to catch it.
See Ya!

I got up at 4:00 AM and rode my bike to Liberty State Park in Jersey City. I saw a lot of shooting stars , but nothing like the huge amounts the astronomy people were leading me to beleive I would see. Next time:a reclining folding chair. my neck is sore. <P>

Did anyone happen to catch John Madden's prediction on the telustrator? It looked like St Louis was gonna be destroyed by meteors.

I kept peeking out of my window during the night, but i dont think the sky is clear enough in Brooklyn.
They said the next meteor shower will be in like 97 or a 100 years from now.

I didn't this year, but I did last year. I heard this year's sucked, but last year's lit up the whole sky and were amazing.

There was a huge meteor shower last year around this time. It was on a saturday night and my girlfriend and I came back from a party around 3am totally shitfaced and layed out on the green at my school and watched the shower, it was awesome. How was this one? I'm sorry I missed it.

IT's just the Aliens emptying their septic tank. They do it around this time every year. So what you THOUGHT were meteors are actually flaming extra terrestrial turds.
BUt seriously, it DOES matter WHERE you stand and look. If you're near huge light source, like NYC, you'll probably see a lot less than the country folk out in Sussex.
