I am convinced that "Little Green Men" by Christopher Buckley is one of the funniest books ever written.

First off, Let's dipsense with the "THIS MESSAGEBOARD" response.
I've just finished 1984, and it was an awsome book. I've been told that "Brave New World" is another book that expands on another theory of the Negative Utopia idea, so I think I'll start that next.
And READ H.P. LOVECRAFT!!!!!

What's funny to me is I have well over 4 different books to read currently for my classes but I haven't picked up one of them. Instead I went on Amazon.com and bought a book I've had my eye on for awhile and now I'm reading that for pleasure when I should be reading my books for school. I am currently reading a book called "Cocaine" and it's by Dominic Streatfeild. Absolutly fantasic!
IT'S TIME TO PLAY THE GAME-AHHH!

Very nicely done Yerdaddy. That's better than the "Black Earl's TO DO list" idea I had.

I recently finished Native son by Richard Wright. It's a story about a black man in the 1930's dealing with racism and poverty in the inner city.
Being a white kid from the suburbs (if you can call it that), it really changed my outlook on things.

A few writers, mainly the staff of the sadly defunct Ego Trip magazine, a great, great hip-hop publication.

Moe - "1984" and "Brave new world" are part the Anti-utopian trilogy, and the best book in the trilogy is "WE" by Zamayatian, when you read that you realize that Orwell is not as creative as people think he is.
As for me, I just finished reading "The Stranger" for about the 11th time, and also just read "The Brothers Karamazov" by Dostoevsky.
