The storyline that created an opening for him in the WWE lone rival fed revolved around a masked wrestler who was was referred to as "Mr. Wrestling III" and this individual would interfere in Ron "The Truth" Killings' and Jeff Jarrett's matches over the past few months and making their wrestling lives a living hell.

It all culminated after a NWA/TNA World Title Tournament that ended tonight which pitted the current Champion The Truth vs. Challenger The Chosen One.

The finish was Mr. Wrestling entering the ring with Jarrett's silver SLAPNUTS guitar looks at Killings to hit him but stop, turns to Jarrett then stops as well but finally smashes the guitar over The Truth and leaves the ring. Jarrett makes the cover and finally (after 24+ weeks of TNA existence and bitchin and complainin) becomes the NWA/TNA World Champion! As he celebrates, Mr. Wrestling III enters the ring and claps to a stunned Chosen One.

He takes off his mask and reveals himself to be Vince Russo as the cameras fade.

His brains and wrestling mind is great news for NWA/TNA! Hopefully he doesn't destroy the X Division in the process.

This might work out well. Jerry Jarrett could be his 'filter', like Vince McMahon was in the WWF. Remember, the combo of Russo and McMahon created the biggest boom period in wrestling history. <P>

Russo can not be trusted alone. The only reason he was so successful in the WWF during it's boom period is because he had a good partner in Ed Ferrara, and he had guys like Vince McMahon, Jim Ross, and Pat Patterson looking over his shoulder. Russo can be very valuable to a small fed like TNA. As long as Jerry Jarrett keeps a close eye on him.

Uh.....I'm confused.

Vince Russo has BEEN with the NWA. For weeks now.

I contribute all of the NWA's BAD booking to him.

I had HOPED that when NWA got new owners / financial backers, Russo would be gone, but now I'm not so sure. Here's hoping Jerry Jarrett keeps him under control, because I just do NOT see what the love for this idiot is all about.

I really don't think this is what TNA needs. I would imagine most people that watch TNA are doing so because they want an alternative to the sort of trashy storylines of the WWE. Thats all Vinne Ru knows how to do, trashy story lines. Doesn't make sense to me

Peachy good point. That's what "Mr. Anti-Russo" Mike Tenay (he seemed very passionate and genuinely heated against VinnyRu by looking directly into the camera and saying that he is what is wrong with the wrestling business and the reason why wCw and many guys lost their jobs) said last week and that is why X-Pac was replaced by Henning in the NWA/TNA Tag Team Title Match with BG James vs. The Disciples of the New Church.

Mike Tenay at one point said he would quit TNA. Russo in an interview earlier in the night, he went directly in the face of Tenay and said if
you don't like me here get out. "Go home... I (Russo) can get a chimpanzee wth more personality than you!" I wouldn't be surprised if he brings in a new wrestler to combat Russo. Tenay said: I will not stand idley by and watch another league crumble."

Next week will be interesting, somewhat like New Blood R&B Era, Russo promised starting next week he is going to change NWA/TNA forever! His first objective was that he wanted Jeff Jarrett, the reigning NWA/TNA World Champion to join him in his quest o get left behind and as The Chosen One was going to choose TNA end.

Should be interesting next week... please be interesting.
