The commentators for the WWE are HORRIBLE. Let's review.
J.R.: Shell of his former self, screams way too much, tries to sell drama in matches we care NOTHING about, has become a Hoss-luvin' company schill.
King: Pervert schtick went old months (years?) ago when we found out it wasn't really an act, and he's become a high-pitched parrot [Example, basically any heel promo on RAW.
HHH: I've-uh got my sledgehammer-uh!
King: He's got his sledgehammer, J.R.!
HHH: And I'm-uh going to use it on you-uh, Kane!
King: He's going to use it on Kane!
HHH: I'm-uh gonna bash your skull in-uh!
King: WHOO HOO! Gonna bash his skull!
EVERY FUCKING RAW he does this.]
Michael Cole: Annoying pussy boy look with annoying pussy boy goatee, repeatedly makes idiotic statements that would make Tony Schiavone blush, often times can't even call the moves properly.
Tazz: Probably the only commentator they have that can call the moves properly (when's the last time you heard ANYONE else in the WWE accurately call a "keylock"?), but that's contrasted by an INCREDIBLY annoying announcing style. My quick Tazz impression: "Keylock, Cole! That Tori Wilson's some toe-may-tuh! JOEY NUMBAS!!!!"
The Redhook shit has gotta stop.
Lita: The less said the better.
Coach: Maybe the least annoying commentator they have, also the blandest commentator they have.
So yeah, DDP could have made a wonderful addition to the commentating team, seeing as he's done that work - well - before. Here's wishing him good luck whatever it is he decides to do.
