I was wondering if anyone has ever lived for an extended period of time in another county and if so how was the experience, and how did it compare to living here. Also if there is any other country you would live in other than the US and if so why?

Visted the majority of the surrounding continents during the stays, including the Middle east and northern Africa.
During my school years, I have to honestly say I preferred my overseas stays to living in America. But that's only because the schools here are nightmares. That, and I'm very grateful I went to very mixed schools, which were never more than 30% American. It's much more fun when people just integrate. Kids don't give a shit what the friend believes in or looks like or is from, just whether he/she is their friend. You gain a better understanding of people, more tolerance, and you learn a lot.
The schools were better and not cliquey at all. So I got to be cool. Here in the States, I know I would have been Lord Dorkasauraus. But now that school is done, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else besides America. Too many opportunities, too many freedoms, and it's just a great place to be.
