11-25 RAW...New Beginning, or Same ol' Shit?

Just wanted to get everyone's opinion on tonight's possibly monumental RAW. Does the WWE put their "World Title" on Rob Van Dam and let the company take on a new look, go with the young talent (I know Van Dam isn't that young, but I mean young by comparison).

Or, more likely, does HHH interfere with the match, hit both guys with chairs, cause a double DQ or something, and thereby ruin what could be a GREAT main event simply by having a clean ending? Whether RVD or HBK wins, a clean finish could make HBK look like a real champion by winning what could be an alltime classic match...or put RVD over as champ in the best way possible.

I know I'm just a hopeful RVD Mark...but I just feel a Triple H, or Flair, or even a Batista run-in, or something stupid like that which continues to put over HHH or this horrible idea of the new 4 HHHorsemen, rather than move the company FORWARD.

And that's exactly why a run-in by any combo of the three guys you mentioned will occur (although websites are currently claiming Trips is out till next week). The days of Vince having to push his company ahead of any and all competition are over. Now, he's just complacent to let the same old crap happen over and over again until either a new competitor for wrestling fans' attention appears on the horizon (not bloody likely) or until his precious WWe implodes under the weight of mismanagement, egos, and ridiculously set glass ceilings (all the more likely). <P>

I know what I wish happens and alot of wrestling fans wish to happy, is for Shawn Michaels to finally realize he is through and do the clean job to Rob Van Dam. RVD is a great worker and deserves to be champion way more than someone who has wrestled 2 matches in the past 4 years. But we all know somehow they will have it either become a Triple Threat Match or with Hunter. Or Hunter will come out and be given the title.

I'd be very very very happy to see the strap on RVD. Hes deserved the championship for some time now. Screw the storyline, RVD is a huge fan favorite and real fans realize his capability, hes got everything that there should be in a great champion. RVD RVD RVD RVD RVD!

Two restarts to the first match, which still ended with an illegal move, making the whole thing make NO FUCKING SENSE. And now all this time spent on Y2J & Christian & their ass cream?!?! I love seeing the Dudley's back together, but I want to see them in the ring kicking ass, not stealing people's bags & running around teasing them.

Don't they have enough fucking talent in that locker room to fill 2 hours with MATCHES? This skit is about 45 minutes past being stupid.

Vince hates us, that's what it all comes down to. He feeds us horseshit & laughs while we eat it. Then he thinks up new awful things to throw at us. The main event better save this show.

HBK vs. RVD was a great match, until Criple H ruined it. hopefully, minus the stolen bag gimmick, keeps going in with that trend. More Wrestling and less Gimmicks makes WWE Raw a better show

Anyway....they couldn't go more than a week with out ole' sonny boy. It's bad enough that he didn't lose anything by jobbing to his old butt buddy. But now it's back to making the real stars like RVD look bad. I'll predict it now...Of course we all know that Trips will get his strap back from HBK, but I think somehow Kevin Nash will wind up getting the belt from Trips down the road. Another old Kliq buddy that Trips can lay down for. The circle is closing.

I was too bitter and cynical to have believed that RVD was gonna get the strap. I'm not surprised that Crips did the run-in.

I was also disappointed in the match itself, because this SHOULD have been a "dream match", but Michaels is so far past his prime at this point that it was anything but that.

Overall, though, I actually thought that RAW was a pretty entertaining show tonight. The continuing burial of Jericho / Christian notwithstanding. Any show that gives Stevie Richards a decent push gets a thumbs up from me.

Of course HHH was going to somehow turn that match into "The Triple H Show". That did not surprise me at all. The match wasn't mad, but I think a lot of that is the built in psychology of any HBK match now which is the injured back.

The highlight for me was Jericho's "Caddy Shack" reference. "Oh, it looks good on YOU though." Classic!

i thought raw was pretty good, the skit with jericho wasnt' the best ever, but at least they were trying. it wasn't awful.

kane and bautista was pretty money, and rvd vs hbk was great to watch. sure not the dream match we all wished for, but it was an unbelievable match.

and of course hhh ruined it, god forbid he's out of the spotlight for more than a second. i think raw is really getting a lot better but hhh is doing his best to make sure it doesnt. he really needs to get injured and leave for a year again.

I think you're right. At Summerslam the first 20 minutes was extremely slow and had the weapons so he could just fall for about 2 minutes between each shot. And in the chamber he was let out last and didn't do much. I bet he can't even do a normal match a ppv without RVD leading it.
