The thyroid is linked to sexual problems.
Hyperthyroidism (The thyroid productes too much) can cause increased sexual desire and drive. The most common hyperthyroidism condition is Graves Disease. Hyperthyroidism is a very serious condition with far reaching consequences and requires prompt medical attention.
Hypothyroidism (thyroid doesn't produce enough) can cause a decreased sexual drive. It can also cause a host of other problems. Hypothyroidism also requires medical intervention.
Fortunately, both conditions are very easily detected with a blood test. Your doctor will probably want to run a complete hormone level (including testosterone). Treatement of course will depend on what your thyroid levels are. (You may need a CAT scan of the pituitary gland in the brain.)
