The Backstory:
My mother works in the N.I.C.U (Neo-natil Intensive Care Unit) of Einstein Hospital in the Bronx. For the last 3 Christmas Eves, she would dress up as Santa and take polaroids with the babies that were there. For many of the parents, this is the only holiday they have with their children and they appreciate the gesture.
The Request:
This year my mother wanted to turn it up a notch. She wanted to give each child a small stuffed animal. I told her before she did anything let me see what I could do. So I'm asking you to help us out. My mother would need beenie baby type stuffed animals. Anything larger would be to cumbersome to fit in the cribs with all of the equipment. Were ony looking for enough to give to the children in the N.I.C.U., but if we get a good enough response she would go to the regular children's ward and hand some more out.
If you would be interested in helping, I'll be collecting them at the Christmas Party and any of Brother Joe's Bar 9 gigs from now until Christmas. When bringing them if you could tie them tightly in a plastic bag just because we will be in bars and we don't want them smelling of smoke.
This is <b>NOT</b> an official RF.net event but Jeff was good enough to allow me to make the request.
