Since Opie and Anthony were cancelled and scott ferall was canned, the ratings for the already dead last wnew have gone from almost a 2 share to a 1.

Now, listen up. If you capos and hardcore fans who have been writting letters want ron and fez to stay on the air past this year, you better stage a huge plan that will get viacom to listen to you.

If I know my radio, a format change or a change in shows will probably happen after the holidays.

I think you guys are putting out a great effort, and I think that you will see the results of it in January.

I say "you guys better plan" because I am doing the smartest thing I personally can do: listen.

I'll say it a million times, but you need the force of an atom bomb to shake infinity.

WNEW is a toilet, at the bottom of the ratings barrell, and I'm sad that there is no other radio station of its kind in the New York metro area.

Hearing Ron and Fez past this year is all going to come down to if the wnew is making enough money for inifinty.

They'll sit in a room with no concern for us, the listener, and decide if an all country format is better thatn all talk.

Think for one second... Rumors have abounded for weeks. First there would be a program change to lite music in October.. Didn't happen! Then they were going to all Christmas music after Thanksgiving, then lite music on december 26th... So far, no Christmas music! Now we find out there is actually some advertising for WNEW Talk being broadcast here and there. Is it possible that the station will continue with a talk format for a while? They just hired Richard Neer to do a WNEW/WFAN morning show, and they grabbed Lykus again for the afternoons. The 'FAN thing could be key. They (WFAN) always liked to throw their overlapping sporting events to 'NEW in the past... Maybe thats gonna stick! Where else are they gonna dump the odd Knicks or Rangers games when the football playoffs are on? Or where will they throw the St. Johns game when there is a Knicks or Rangers conflict?... It makes sense for Infinity to have this 'dump' station around to take on these overloads from 'FAN!... And in the meantime, we keep R & F right here during the week where they belong! If a ballgame interrupts the show, and they have to broadcast from D.C., we can always get the replay the next morning... It seems to fit... Then again, I may be dreaming, as usual! At any rate, I've got another batch of letters going out tomorrow! Keep writing capos, and keep coming up with those unique ways of getting the message across! <P>

They have surrounded Ron and Fez with Half-assed crap. At one time, it was all New York based shows on WNEW, now it's WFAN on WNEW? and Tom Lyekis who couldn't give two shits about New York?

The current WNEW lineup is the main reason that I fear WNEW will change formats.

In this century, it's all about making as much money as possible and cutting the fat.

I'm talking about an all talk fm station. Like I said, there are no other stations in New York that have the same format as WNEW. Yes, there's talk, but not the kind of talk that ron and fez do.
