Okay this is way late and this could be considered flame material so I'll keep it nearly discrete. Considering Fez's MMMAAAWWTHER seems like such a Bible Thumper when it comes to Fez's sister's divorce, something that could divert all attention away from her, unless he did it allready, is to come out. Kind of, "hey its not so bad that she dumped that low life for another, but I'm comitting one of your 'cardinal sins' "
Of course the flip side could be either they know, or he could say it and the whole family could be "Oh, like THATS breaking news"
I don't know, maybe thats too out there of a suggestion, but if I was gay and in the closet that would be a perfect chance to come out to take the load off someone else
Perfect example would be a show on Friends' first season, when Ross finds out his ex is pregnant Monica tries to get him to tell his parents about everything with him and his ex so it lessens their rancor on her. Of course it backfires when he says it Monica's mom turns to her and goes "And you KNEW about this?"
