For some reason... there is a certain internet radio station which normally plays the live R&F talk show is now playing some old O&A re-runs. Does anyone know anything about this ?

All those looking for the address of this certain station... DONT ASK CAUSE IT DOES NOT EXIST--- if yah catch my drift

I e-mailed the invisible fake man who I recieved this non-existant feed and he says there is a

"surprise lineup coming soon"

Can someone explain to me why, if such a thing did exist, it would be bad? Such an imaginary feed contains the whole show, as it occurs, including commercials. If a NY is listening they hear the commercials. If someone in another city is, they here the commercials and here the show, something you'd think Infinity would want. It's like free publicity, especially if there are plans to syndicate or move R&F to another city. I just don't get it.

bs: You know how these companies are, they start flipping out if they dont' control every aspect of distribution. I'd say maybe, maybe, 1 out of 5 commercials is NY specific. From hair loss to weight loss to revamped sex, it applies to everyone.

They can't include us in the stats so they can't really charge higher rates for advertising. hell, they should have some sort of subscription model for out of towners, but that would be too bright an idea for infinity. it's rough dealing with conservative tight-asses that run companies, so there's not really much we can do about it.

Personally, I'm more upset that R&F fans don't help each other out :)

As someone who lives in NY and at various points would have had to listen to the replay, were it to actually exist, because I couldn't listen to the show live, I know that if they ever handed me a ratings book, I'd lie and say I listened to the show live. In fact, if I ever did get a diary again(I did once, years ago) I'd lie and say I listened to NEW 24 hours a day, if it meant I could help keep the boys on the air here.

I always wondered if the arb-O-tron's could/would take into account internet listeners... and if not, why the hell not?!?! I'm nowhere near NYC, but I'd be willing to drop some caysh on poospatuck(sp) smokes or some of their other sponsors! I just don't get why I can pretty much pick up my choice of most any other station out there except CBS/Infinity stations. Many of the others encourage internet listeners, even without running any commercials! (i.e., Tony Kornheiser, ESPN Radio) I'm sure there are others that don't allow it either, but this just sucks. <P>
Hell, I be willing to PAY for a gd internet feed right now! I need my fix dammit! <P>
