Ok, so I know already that they are industrial but there things are almost too powerful for their own good. Many times I have stumbled into 7-11 and there are NO HOT DOGS! Perish the thought. So I am given a big raw one by the nice man behind the counter and he sticks it in my hand a I give it maybe 15 seconds and the thing is done. Done to the point where there is the little bubbles on the hot dog. I just wonder about something on the inside that I can't see with a radioactive symbol. Scary! Is there anything radioative I should be worried about in there? Why don't they sell micros like these in stores? I would get one. All I know is it coooks my hot dogs quick and gets my soft pretzels hot again.

Personally, I avoid those microwaves as much as possible. I just don't have any faith that they're still adequately shielded to protect us from excess radiation. The last thing I need is to go sterile because I wanted a hot dog from a convenience store.

I agree with both of you. They're scary powerful, and I DO NOT think they will have enough sheilding to protect my chromosones from damage.
I just hate the ones that look like those 1st microwaves in the 80's. They ones that look regular size, but you open them and there's like a 4 inch square box to stick your food in. The rest is sheilding.

I always figured that the Microwaves were so ridiculously powerful to avoid frivilous lawsuits from retards who don't heat their food properly, get themselves sick and sue 7-11.

I'd be infinitely more worried about the ingrediats in a 7-11 hotdog than whether nuking it will cause a few DNA strands to mutate.
