Wrestling just hasn't been the same since Vince McMahon pretty much monoplized the sport. I miss real tv alternatives and regional wrestling. Did McMahon have to run out all the local promoters and mucle them out of Tv spots? Big Vince -- Mr.Capitalist -- now has, essentially, no competition. And it shows.

Technically, Vince doesn't have a monopoly unless he attempts to prevent other companies from entering the marketplace. So far, no hard evidence exists that he has.

But yeah, Vince needs someone to come by and bloody his nose in order to get him motivated at all. These days, he's more concerned it seems with starting abysmal football leagues and ensuring that the Rock has a steady movie gig.
