Fingernails: How Important?

Guys: How important is it to you for a woman to have her nails all "done up". To me it has very little, although my wife places alot of importance on it, which is fine. Then again she would just tell me to "go screw" if i asked her not to spend so much on them or do them herself...

Girls/Ladies: How important is it to you to have your nails "all done up" or is it just okay to manicure and color them yourself?

As long as they dont do that whole dragon lady routine with 3 inch claws hanging from their fingers, all is fine. Something simple will work. Other than that it don't really matter, unless they are biters and have some funky, gnarley nubs. Then I say go, go to the salon.

her fingernails aren't important to me at all. my wife goes either every or every other week to get them done. I don't understand why, but as long as it makes her happy she can continue to go. I really don't like makeup at all on her. I like the natural look, which she does most of the time. It's the special occassions when she uses make up and to me it doesn't look as good. <P>
Forget fingernails though, why do they do the toenails. Really makes no sense to me. <P>

i did my nails up for halloween ((and one popped off and is still in doogie's car somewhere)) and i loved it. i like having long nails naturally, but getting acrylics with the peach french tip ((the only thing i get)) is nice to do for occasions...

i like having fingernails to scratch up a back during sex too.

I'm a nailbiter, too, so I don't have much to say about a girls nails. The one thing I don't love, though, is the nails that are so long that they impede a woman from performing normal daily functions like dialing a phone, picking up a piece of paper, etc. But polished, unpolished, professionsal-length, long (within reason), or short makes little difference to me.
