I actually asked a "girl friend" this question a while ago and she gave me these few points:

1) all talk must be "flirty". The minute you start talking to her as you would any other of your friends, she will become one of your friend

2) Never say her name and the word "friend" in the same sentence

3) Remember - She is not your friend, so don't treat her as one. This is a girl you eventually want to slip your dick into - not your sister.

4) Girls are much smarter than men, and can tell if a guy is interested.

If a girl is interested back, she will respond - if she she is not, she will try and lead you down that friendship path.

DON'T FALL FOR IT! Cut her off before she gets the chance. Its better to cut your losses then start pining over a girl that you never had a chance with to begin with - besides, don't you have enough friends already???
