I know many of you like alt. country, bluegrass, and great weird music. Slim Cessna's Auto Club is a band that you should all check out. They are playing two shows in NYC this Thursday and Friday.

There is no real way for me to possibly describe how truly incredible this band is. It actually sucks because the band formerly was based in Denver, where they had a huge following, but are unknown in New York. The band plays their heart out to half-filled shows in NYC and Hoboken. Most of you will read this and ignore what I am saying, which sucks because this is an incredible band with massive amounts of soul and heart. Do yourself a favor and support underground weird music!

The band has put out three albums on Alternative Tentacles (Jello Biafra's record label). Come on by and watch the boys and girl play beautiful pedal steel guitar tracks or jam with a double guitar with a picture of the Virgin Mary painted on.

Slim and Munly are the two singers and they are always on. After downing drinks offered to them by the crowd they launch into songs that will blow your mind and make you want to dance. Please support quality weird/underground music and see one of these shows. Yes that means you. And to answer a question I'm sure many of you are thinking... NO, I'm not in the band. Thanks...

Chairman, want a great new album along the lines of Beck's "Sea Change"? Check out Sondre Lerche's "Faces Down". It's like alt.country meets champer pop meets alterna-power pop. Nifty.

If anyone else is going, perhaps some top fermented beverages before the show. Email me and perhaps we can meet up. I love being on vacation!
