Match of the year: Trish Stratus & Linda Miles d. Jackie Gayda & Molly Holly in what is probably the worst match in the history of WWE.

Shock of the year: Two Women win Tough Enough 2. Leaving Two awesome male competitors without contracts.

Wrestler of the year: Triple H. He is the best because he never loses.

Rookie of the year: Linda Miles and Jackie Gayda. yuck!

Tag team of the year: Linda Miles and Jackie Gayda.

Diva of the year: do I even have to continue?

Match of the Year: HHH vs Flair (a little gem from WWE TV) -- Ric took HHH to wrestling school in front of national TV here and executed some great leverage moves, reminiscent of the gold ol' days. The Angle/Benoit matches were noteworthy, but there were so many of them so I nominated them for best feud. My runner up match is Kurt Angle vs Edge, also from WWE TV. Kurt made Edge look like a million bucks and the ending sequence was hot.

Feud of the Year: Angle/Benoit -- this feud produced the best series of American matches in a couple of years, maybe better than the Booker T/Benoit series from '98 (I think).

Wrestler of the year: Kurt Angle -- he carried both mid card and main event angles this year, made everyone look good, was a good sport for his booking, continued to improve, and escaped major injury. This guy is amazing. My only gripe is that Angle doesn't sell Benoit's crossface as well as Benoit sells the ankle lock. I don't know why no one in the back ever brought that up to him.

Most improved: Trish Status -- she works like a man but looks like a woman!! She goes above and beyond what she needs to do.

Rookie of the year: Shelton Benjamin -- his matches on Heat were great, relying on real wrestling rather than punching and kicking. He must be watching old Benoit tapes. I'm looking foward to seeing him on Smackdown in 2003, adding to the talent on that roster.

Angle of the year: Brock Lesnar rises from obscurity and become champion with the help of Heyman. Then he's struck by the curse of the Survivor Series doublecross!!!

Goodbye to: Dean Malenko -- Thanks for the great matches. I hope you make the American product a little bit better from behind the scenes.

Match of the Year: A extremely tough call but I've got 3 pics-Kurt vs. Edge(Hair vs. Hair), Benoit vs. Angle at Unforgiven, or Benoit/Angle vs. Edge/Rey at No Mercy.

Angle of the Year:The Raw and SmackDown! Brand

Wrestler of the Year:Kurt Angle (I'd go with my man Benoit but he was injured most of the year)

Tag Team of the Year:LOS GUERREROS

Rookie of the Year:Brock Lesnar

Most Improved:Edge (say what you want about him but he can hang with technical wrestlers and high flyers)

Diva of the Year: Torrie Wilson

I agree with Fallon also on all but one...i don't think Booker T/Goldust are the tag team of the year. i just can't get behind this team. i would say Billy/Chuck had a bigger year than these 2. They had the belts for quite sometime and were on the verge of a big storyline before Billy got hurt again.

i like fallons choices...but i have a couple of things id like to add.

most improved- matt friggin hardy, i couldnt stand watching this guy til he made the heel turn and now i think hes hysterical.

rookie of the year...i'd like to say lesnar but i think its only cause he got that huge push, so to play devils advocate im going to say john cena i loved his matches with angle and jericho so he gets my vote.

Match of the year: this one for me still goes to Jericho and the Rock at the Rumble. i know that it might not have been the best worked match all year but Jericho might have given this more hype and more feeling than any other match ive seen him fight. that one promo where he told the rock to not look past him still sticks in my mind.

tag team of the year: angle and benoit, i didnt have fun watching any other tag team this year other than them, the tag division this year was anemic and needs a real kick in the ass.

No doubt. It's too bad Vince screwed him out of a feud with Edge, now he's beating on Version 2 and gonna get squashed by Lesnar.
