Instead you probably think we all should look like those people up there on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel?
Creationists simply amaze me. I am in no position to play God here, even if I thought there was one, but I totally respect your opinion.
I just pray...check that... I don't believe in God...I HOPE.... check that, I am an Existentialist...hell I wish... (no that doesn't work either, Hell doesn't exist)...I would like you to make sure you are up on the latest science in evolution (which would allow you to at least formulate perhaps compelling opinions against evolution) or Creationism... so your belief that we are all the progeny of Adam and Eve is at least logically sound. But in this case, that's an oxymoronical statement.
Happy New Year if you think it's really going to be 2003.

You don't have the slightest inkling of a clue about how evolution works. You probably are unfamiliar with creationsim myths as well.
At the very look take a look at the "Eve Hypothesis" that traces our ancestors to a GROUP of women through mitochondrial DNA studies.

also it supports evolution because of where are ancestors are from, i.e.
africans are dark because there skin has EVOVLED to make up for the extra sunlight, more melanin, less chance of dying from cancer.
Europeans, colder climate who needs that dark skin, hell when it snows, it makes you a moving target for anything that's hungry.

I'm not sure on this but I think what you're talking about here is Non-uniform Adaptive evolution at a population level. The theory is that as a population moves about they will develop certain traits amongst themselves that will allow for the continued survival of the group, I see it as a matter of the groups of the world evolving differently at whatever time it was appropriate for them to evolve, much in the way a population of animals will evolve a vestigial tail or opposable thumbs when they became necessary though a survival of the fittest type of evolution.
africans are dark because there skin has EVOVLED to make up for the extra sunlight, more melanin, less chance of dying from cancer.

Scientic findings say that our DNA can be traced back to one woman. ONE woman!
You can deny God if that is what you prefer. I respect your opinion. You need to respect others when it comes to what they believe in, because my dear man, your not always right.
Take gravity for instance---
Scientist, Astronmers, can not come up with a reasonable explanation of what it is. WE call it gravity, but they can't figure out what makes it up. We know its there, but can not see it. We know there is wind, but we can not see it. Did they just evolve too? What are your views on this?

definition is still there... I
don't think it is the best
example for what I think you
are trying to explain, as it
would only be lost if
selection were actung on
something els ethat
somehow made the tail go
away. If selection is still
acting on the vestigial tail,
it's not really vestigial.
Also, I don't believe in group
selection, per se, but that is

I respect your opinion. You need to respect others when it comes to what they believe in, because my dear man, your not always right.
And yet it's always the religious kooks who try to convert others. I've never told anyone to give up their faith, as misguided as it is. I have advocated and will continue to advocate against ANY practice that harms people, keeps them oppressed and suffering and causes death and suffering. Religion is of course the biggest offender in this catagory. See, while religion may be adaptive to an individual it is horrific for society in general.
Scientist, Astronmers, can not come up with a reasonable explanation of what it is. WE call it gravity, but they can't figure out what makes it up. We know its there, but can not see it. We know there is wind, but we can not see it. Did they just evolve too? What are your views on this?
Forgive me for sounding flippant, but like other people who have posted here, you talk of things about which you have no understanding.
We have a very good understanding of gravity going back at least to Galileo, Brahe and Tycho Kepler. (But I'm sure you haven't heard of Kepler's Law.) In the 1600's Newton came up with the Universal Laws of Gravitation. Our understanding of gravity took a quantum (pun intended) leap forward when Einstein published his general theory of relativity which related gravity to space and time. I'm sure you've heard of Stephen Hawking or perhaps Hawking Radiation? Perhaps reading a few of his books will illuminate some of these concepts. Pay particular attention to supersymmatry and the search for the MOAT - uniting electromagnetic effects with gravity, quantum mechanics, and the general and special theory of relativity.
Thorne is the new wundekind of gravitational physics and has combined general relativity and quantum phsyics to explain gravity in curved space time. I believe he has recently published work on gravity waves. The exact nature of this elludes me at the moment.
We've progressed a long way from the times of Aristotle who thought that cosmic movement was caused by the hand of god. We now know that there are laws and rules by which all things act. Even something you cannot see - like gravity.
Gravity, wind, and the like are all readily observable in their effects. God is not. He's a no show for the last 15 billion years, but perhaps he (or his prophet) will turn up at the Resturaunt at the End of the Universe.
By the way, you obviously are unaware about the evolution of our climatary system. Yes, it evolves as well. And the patterns of evolution are different on different planets. Do you suppose there was a different climate during the Pangean Era? Do you know what that is? Are you aware of the nemerous periods of glaciations the earth has gone through? Do you know we're overdue for another one? Do you know that there were at least 2 mass extinction events on earth where over 95% of all species died?
Please, get the basic facts first. Even die hard creationists accept planetary evolution. And some religious groups when faced with the irrefutable evidence of evolution, have conceded grudgingly that evolution may have been the mechanism through which god worked.
The more we learn, the less of a need there is to cling to old harmful superstitions.

How does that saying go, put 100 apes in a room full of typewriters and...
I believe it is; A thousand apes, typing for a thousand years, sooner or later the words of Shakespere will be typed out.
Or something like that.
With regards to how the diversity of the current population of people on the world can be accounted for, it is the migration of at least 2 departures from Africa. The groups of modern people (homo sapiens, sapien) began replacing homo neaderthalis in Europe approx. 30-40,000 years ago. Here's more reading (http://www.neanderthal-modern.com/)
As far as where did the apes come from that mankind evolved from (we are a kind of ape, by the way), we had common ancestors and we were the ones that evolved into what we became while they remained as they were because they filled their own niche(sp?). It's not that they cant evolve, it's that they didnt need to.
What's interesting is that neanderthals had larger brain cases than we do.

No, the other extant "apes" evolved, as well. They simply evolved into what they are today, as opposed to us evolving into what we are today. Chimps, gorillas, bonobos and orangutans aren't "unevolved" from their common ancestor any more than we are.

*shrug* So do dolphins.

Giant ape may be new species (http://www.theadvertiser.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5936,10997667%255E1702,00.html)
AN elusive giant ape has been spotted in remote forests in central Africa, sparking theories that it could be a new species of primate - a finding that would be the most astonishing wildlife discovery in decades, New Scientist says.
Ahh yes, the elusive giant ape.
6 1/2 ft. tall!

Faeces recovered from the nest sites indicated an animal with a diet rich in fruit, which is typical of chimps.
1) What a shitty job that must be....."hey, you, go get that ape's faeces and try to figure out what he ate for dinner last night"
2) Would this be an example of EndangeredFaeces?
