single for christmas

this is a new experience for
me. my first single christmas
since i was about 16... i like
it. less money to spend,
fewer awkward moments with her
family... less pressure. i get
to be a kid again. not to
mention my total lack of new
years plans, and the money i'm
saving there.

not that money is a big deal
but the $1500 or so i saved
between the two not to mention
working extra, lets me not
work at school.

it is lonley though. i am
sorta miss having someone warm
in my bed smiling back at me
in the morning. BUT on the
other hand, no one to think
about when i amke plans. i
dunno.

its just a weird feeling all
together. :-(

There's nothing wrong with that. . .I've done it myself many many many times.

I'll agree that the not needing to spend $$ right now is a big bonus, but the cold, empty bed is a minus I don't particularly care for, now that I've gotten used to having a special someone there in the mornings :)

I spent one recent NYE broke, on my couch, with the cat, MTV, a 4-pack of Korbel and my brother. No New Year's kiss, unless you count the nose-rub from the cat, but not an entirely unpleasant evening.

The only thing missing was Dick Clark, America's Oldest Teenager, and his "New Year's Rockin' Eve" show. . .MTV didn't even show the ball drop! I was highly ticked, but I got over it.

I second that part. I really miss the snuggling on the sub-zero mornings and the footsies under the sheets. I miss spending the money on her for Christmas. I always enjoyed that.

Eh....I was actally a lil depressed on Christmas that I was single. First Xmas in4 yrs I been alone....but then again I also thought about the exGF and was happy that I was alone......and looed at my wallet and was VERY happy I was alone.

On NYE it wont be that bad....I figure there'll be plenty of drunken single women out there for me.

I actually had a relationship terminate right before New Year's last year, which sucked incredibly bad. We actually broke up because she stood me up for an NYE event.

Wanna know why I had a distrust of women? She accepted Christmas presents from me, THEN broke up with me 7 days later.
