This is great news for the WWE!

For those who missed Smackdown! a quick promo played before the Nunzio-Crash match. It showed a prison cell door with a wide rectangular opening for food to enter. Anyway, in this psych ward white colored area it pans downward to the door and an obvious Australian calming voice speaks,

"Question mate, if you had ten years of free time, what would you do... well I know what I did...."

When he said that, I was thinking along the lines of an Oz/Hannibal deal. Pretty creepy. Suddenly a thick muscular white hand emerges from the opening trying to viciously grasp at the camera. The promo ends saying, "NATHAN JONES IS COMING!"

I don't want to ruen the surprise for those who do not know what he looks like but I'll give you a lil info. He was a former WWA (World Wrestling All-Stars) Champion, nearly 7 feet tall and a legit criminal (won't say the crime it might reun the storyline or they may alter it). You will see great things (depending what Vince does with him) from this hulking almost Brock Lesnar/Batista type of man.

I saw him wrestle in a dark match before Raw in November. He's pretty green, but could dish out some nice power moves.

I saw this dude on a WWA pay-per-view. He is a monster I think he could be a huge star if the WWE brings him along slowly not anything like what they did with Lesnar. Iwouldn't want to see his star burn out quickly.

From what little I know of him, I think it is a decent move. As someone said earlier, as long as he isn't rushed threw the ranks to Main Event level in a month, he should be good.

However, I agree with Se7en that this idea that "WWE is the land of the Giants" crap is WAAAAAAY overdone. Yes, a dominating bigman is entertaining when it's done right, but when it's shoved down our throats with someone the fans have shown they don't like, it sucks.

The time has come for the WWE to wake up and realize that the best new talent they have accumulated over the last two+ years is NOT Lesnar & Batista. Yes, Lesnar has gotten better & his obvious run to Mania against Angle will probably be incredible when they both get technical. BUT, the best talents they have added over the last few years are:
- Angle: technically perfect & even sound on the mic.
- Benoit & Guerrero: it's almost an insult to list them together,m but they did arrive at the same time. Both are technically great, but when a 'little man' isn't great on the mic, they don't excel.
- Van Dam: not technical, but Goddamn entertaining.
- Rey: so entertaining that he was main eventing SmackDown within two weeks, and putting on great matches.

I think you thought they meant ten years old but he was in a maximum security prison for ten years (probably that's what it is).

I suppose I'm being too hard on Jones.

I can't really remember watching him wrestle before, so maybe he's decent. I don't know. I've heard he's pretty much just a hoss, though.

I'm just against the principle of him getting the push because, in all likelihood, he's only getting it because he's a big monster. But who knows, maybe he'll convert me.

You've probably heard this by now, but rumor is that he'll be with the Smackdown crew. He's supposed to have begun working Smackdown house shows this weekend.

His vignettes keep getting better & better. I hope his ringwork is decent when he finally shows up...we can only handle one force-fed monster storyline per show & we already have one Batista & one Brock.

Not that I dislike either of these two, but I still think Brock needs to show more of his amateur ability. Which is why his run with Angle to Mania should be so fucking good. I like Batista as well, but only because I know what he was elsewhere & hope he can be again.
