How many times does WNEW play that stupid contest spot during the show? I mean I remember hearing it once or twice a day B4 the O+A Disaster... "the always tensefree WNEW"

It's their general all porpose disclaimer to back up the crappy contests anyone does. It just seems so sad that they run it so often. I don't think WNEW has a sales staff to sell time anymore so they must be filling with this. I would love to sell time on Ron and Fez even for WNEW... <P>

WNEW has been on self-distruct mode for the last 5 months. The only live program are Ron and Fez and Neer in the AM. I hear the same commercials in the same order all day ( until 2PM). Does anyone actually work in promotions or the sales dept anymore? How does WNEW survive? <P>

Its the Traffic Director at the station is really at fault he or she is the one who schedules all the spots. Sales needs to do their job and traffic needs to spice things up. How about a few corny PSA's that would be fun i am sure they have tons of them

You know I hear WNEW doing their EBS (Emergency Broadcast System or whatever it's called now) stuff more often. I think I've heard them twice or three times in one day but never during a live R+F. Even the EBS sounds shitty... like the signal just cuts in and out... it's a ghost ship!
