The Chairman

Slow start. RnF mercifully pulled the plug on the comedy pyramid (didn't even get near a square base on that one)..
but:
1) The music KILLED.
Sly and the Family Stone (Family Affair) and Main Ingredient (Everybody Plays the Fool) worth price of admission alone. Ron knows his 70's soul...
2) Billy was awesome. Talked about the 2nd Amendment with the authority, clarity and conviction of an anti-Robert Bork (or perhaps more aptly Lawrence Tribe.) Billy getting more trenchant every day. The tannins have matured and he'll be a fine cabernet in 2003.
3) Ron's timing was more perfect than a Patek Philippe.
Check that...more perfect than an ensemble of cesium-beam frequency standards and hydrogen masers.
2003 is going to be lovey.

"Whoosh!"
What you're hearing now is not, as many would have you believe, the sound of one hand clapping, but yet another "whoosh!" posted by our very own Chairman Kaga.
Thank you Chairman for encouraging me to expand my mind.
I wonder if this link here: http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/cesium.html will help those of us who did not understand it initially "get" the reference?
I think so. :)

The original version of "Everybody Plays The Fool" by was a nice touch (though Aaron Neville's remake is pretty good too).

Ronnie does know his stuff. Back in the 60's we only had AM radio and the music was mixed. You could hear the Beatles, Four Tops, Stones, Delfonics, Chi-Lites and so many of the greats all mixed together. We all sang along, whether it was rock, soul, pop or silly "Bubblegum".
Radio today is shit.

If it climbs on a rock, admires its own shadow, and thinks it's a stallion, most definitely.

OK, I'm off to go get a lobotomy. Or perhaps find a time machine and travel back to third grade. It would make 95% of you so much happier, I guess.

I shouldn't need to have to say this, and this will be the last time, but I seriously don't give a fuck what anyone thinks of me.

On the other hand, I appreciate all of you for the uniqueness each of you brings to this Board. Thank you.

AMEN to that!!!I use to fall asleep and wake up to WABC.I would rush home from school, run up to my room and put on my radio and milk my homework, just so I wouldn't have to leave my room.I would love to have Ron pick out his favorite top 10 songs and put them on CD.At least I would have something to listen to between 2:00 and 7:00.
