From David Hinckleys column in todays NY Daily News:

'NEW NEWS?: Speculation has intensified that WNEW (102.7 FM) will finally institute a new full-time format, but spokesman Dana McClintock of parent Infinity yesterday said only that "we are always looking for ways to improve our stations." Other sources at Infinity said changes are coming, but not quite yet.

Accordin to the dentist's board, this morning at 6 a.m. there was an announcement of "Welcome to the new WNEW", and then you heard Joan Osbourne's "One of Us" for a bit........then Richard Neer started his sports program. Looks like everyone ( which isn't much ) at the station is getting in on the joke's.
