At work.
Couldn't bare listening to radio stations that played music, cause of a heartbreak.
So I came across Howard Stern (I guess I never listened to him taking on the ideals of the media who was always against his type of humor)
Anyway... for the first time in 2 months I laughed... but when it ended I was afraid to listen to music.. changing the station I found 'Don & Mike', it was weird, I didn't know if it was a commercial or an infomercial, I just knew that it was talk and only talk and that's what I needed at the time.
By the time that ended I was so tired of listening to talk that when 'O&A' came on I felt a bit offended by the things they said.
A week went by and that's when they aired the '5-gallon-drum-challenge' on O&A, it was too funny, I ended up taking my portable CD player/Radio home with me.
I ended up listening to Don & Mike only because it was talk and cause it came on before O&A.
After Ron & Fez were moved to middays I started to listen and immediately became a fan. It was funny, because I used to think that the Big Ass Card numbers that were announced by the listeners were some sort of # that appeared on the pink-slips to your vehicle... it took a while before I got the gist of it... now I have 2 cards (error on Rory's part) and listen twice a day.

It was back in 2000, I was driving home from a really shitty house party in Maryland, it was like 2 AM, I turned on WJFK in the hopes that a Sports Junkies replay might be on, and instead I was blasted with the force of nature that is Fez's voice. How can you even think of turning the dial when you first hear him?
And as luck would have it, it was like the third or fourth show of the first week they started down here in DC, so I managed to hop on board from the beginning...

A buddy at work told me about them in 2001. Now I'm a Ron and Fezaholic....24/7 Ron and Fez.....

Pretty much the same way as you londonanders. I used to work the 2nd shift, and, when I got home at 11pm, I needed something to unwind and forget about the day. One night back in the summer of 2000, I heard Ron and Fez for the first time, and from that moment, I was hooked.

First heard their show a few years ago while driving home from Bayonne. I didn't get to listen to them as often as I liked, but I always enjoyed the shows I did get to hear.

about 3 years ago, I would come home trashed and crash with the radio on. Right before I would pass out I remember hearing this awful sounding high pitched squeal. After a couple nights like this I tried to rememeber the station and check out what it was. 3 years later, I've come to love the way Fez says "HEY".

I've been a listener since day two. I started after hearing Op and Ack talk about them, and Opie gave them a great push. I just forgot to listen to the first show, but from then on I've listened to almost every single show.

I used to drive home from the same bar almost every night and they'd be the only thing worth listening to after one in the morning.

When they were syndicated in Boston a couple years ago. My friend (stump12) used to work nights and listened to them. He told me how funny they were and I started listening.

I've heard them since day one. I was an O&A listener, actually a WNEW listener, since I had my dial set to WNEW all day from the sports guys to loveline.
O&A were the hook though, I started listening to them and then I accepted anything that came before or after them.
I grew to love R&F for their own merit but I have to say O&A turn me on to them.
Peace & hugs

I listened to them the first night they were on instead of Lovelines and I remember thinking "who's this guy with the funny voice" Ron was doing his Sam Kinnison "this is not what we're used to" bit when people called up to bitch.
I turned them off but the next night I gave them a try and have been listening to Ron and Mr Lumpy Pants (that's what Ron was calling Fez the first few months)ever since.
Also, I always pictured Fez as a skinny Andy Dick looking guy until i saw his pic of course.

I was a D&M listener, started picking them up on WNEW when they started in NYC, and never changed the station. Within a few weeks R&F became my favorite show, and i still listened to WNEW all day even after D&M got the boot.

I was doing a show (that paid me horray) in PA and the drive was horrific after all dahy rehearsals and work to boot. My friend Marie suggested them as entertainment for the road and it wasn't long before I was hooked.
Thank you MARIE! :)

After first hearing O & A when they came to Philly in Summer 2001 I first heard mentions of Ron and Fez here and there. After quite the long while I discovered 102.7 and that my car could actually get it. Needless to say I would drive around for a few hours a night in the woods of Upper Bucks County until I finally moved to Jersey in June. Wouldn't you know that after I move, Ron and Fez go twice a day! I was so happy to be here in Jersey and in the 102.7 range. Now to find some friends and all will be well.

i'm from DC and grew up listening to don and mike... i think they've been on about 15 years that i can remember. so fast forward about 15 years and now i'm 24 and i deliver pizza to pay the rent while i study to become a mad scientist. i came upon O&A just after Sept 11th and loved them. like don and mike only younger and funnier. and every whipstich you would hear ron or fez on O&A. so now with all the time slot shuffeling, here i am. a somewhat captive audience (but happy to be) since i'm in my car from 5pm to 1am and i'll be damned if i'll listen tomusic on the radio because it's shite. i've been an underground dance music DJ for 5 years now so i cant stand the 51 flavors of vanilla music they play on the radio. but i do love ron and fez. they have a show unique frm the others and i love the fact that they include the audience without having to degrade them, and tell them what asses they are (unlike some other shows) they dont have swollen egos and they strike me as very genuine caring and intelligent guys. good peoples, and now they have my loyal support
If polyamory is wrong... i don't want to be right.

It started shortly after I first met my wife Sarah whilst working in NYC. Sarah has been a radio "nut" since her post Dartmouth days when she worked for a Vermont radio station.
Was astonished by both O and A and R and F shows being so outrageous compared to England.
Well applied for Immigration status and moved here to marry and listened ever since.

I was flipping through the stations on my walkman on way home in frustation at NY radio one night and came across one squeaky voice and one rough voice making jokes about Britany Spears' restaurant. At first, I thought that Ren and Stimpy moved to radio after the TV show ended, but I didn't understand why callers were reciting long numbers, being so thankful for getting a "huha," and saying one or two words before hanging up. I didn't understand it at first, but I was instantly captivated.

Day 1 at WNEW. I was a fan immediately.

I used to listen to LoveLine, which isn't a bad show. Too bad the programming geniuses didn't put that on 2-7 instead of Leykis.

June 28, 2000...
I was working the always popular 4pm-midnight shift & was looking for something to listen on the way home. Scott Ferall had recently been fired (from his syndication deal that had him on WFAN), so I tried the only other station I listened to regularly, 102.7, the Opie & Anthony station.
I know I've rambled on about this in some other thread, but....it was the night Elian Gonzalez went back to Cuba. I turned on WNEW seconds before the Nature Boy stepped through the smoke & cut one helluva promo on his ass. I literally had to pull over on Rt. 287 because the tears in my eyes by the end of the bit were blinding me. I've been hooked ever since.

I discovered WNEW-talk after a classic rock set that included Maggie May, Hotel California and Smoke on the F'in Water. While I was searching for something sharp enough to kill myself with, someone suggested Ron and Fez. They helped save my life, them, and the fact that it was a Monday and I didn't want to miss Raw that night. My wife and I have been hooked ever since.

I was listening to 102.7 one day
and heard Fez's voice. It was
love from then on.

At a discussion about what we listen to on the radio, someone said "Talk Radio". I said ,"What, like Rush ?". After the giggles, ended, a simple "NO", sent my car radio on scan. After about a day, I hit the end of "Radio Chick" into "OnA".
The 4 am drive into work brought Ron and Fez. Granted it took about 3 days to remove
10 years of "clone"propaganda, but much less to recognize that these were the guys I wanted to hear.

Like many of you I was working a late shift (driving home at 2:00am), and had gotten tired of listening to Joe Benigno rant about how bad the Knicks were, so I switched over to FM and found Ron and Fez dot net. I have followed their many time slot changes ever since. WNEW had the killer lineup just before O & A were fired. R & F and O & A just about all day. It was terrific! I also think Ron and Fez have gotten better over the years.

I live in BC Canada and last summer we got a new radio station that plays Loveline. I like that show and a friend told me where to go (newsgroups) and there was some Ron and Fez. I downloaded once and have been a fan since the first show I heard. They're awesome! Now I listen on the syndication underground everyday. I just wish I lived in the NYC area with the rest of you folks so I could be more involved. I guess it's just the web for now.
I'm a fan for sure, but I've got nothing on some of you guys here. I wish I had hear of them sooner. I'm sure I've missed out on a lot.

I have to thank my brother, Sheepy.
Sheepy started listening back in the Ron and Fez dot Com days. If I didn't need sleep, I would've listened then too. He kept telling me I'd love them, but I couldn't listen until they started in at Mid-days . . . right after I graduated from college and was miserable and unemployed.
When they sent Sheepy to the prom, I knew I had to get into listening, but didn't start listening regularly until after I was introduced to them at the "Big Ass Night of Frights 2002".
I intend on listening to the replays at work as soon as I can remember to bring a radio to the office. . .I have night classes this semester, so I need to sleep!
