So I spend 6+ months waiting for Raven to reveal his master plan...he finally shows up on Raw in the parking lot...they don't mention him again for weeks...then, they turn a corner after a PPV and open themselves up for new storylines, and he's RELEASED? Un-fuckin-believeable! There's one fuckin belt to write storylines for, and nothing else really matters on that whole fuckin' show...they didn't have enough time to write this guy a storyline?! What bullshit.

i dont watch wrestling anymore, but back when I did and ECW was still around, I was a huge Raven fan. My friend made me a tape of a bunch of Raven matches and I'm about to bust that baby out. The main event on that tape= Raven/Sandman barbed wire match.

Good luck to them, maybe they can hook up with TNA or whoever.

That is truly a shame. I cannot wait for TNA to come and give RAW a good run for their money on Monday's. You know its coming. The more I think about it, we could very well be seeing the repeat of what hapened when the WWF was awful in the early to mid 90's. I hope that soon the WWE gets competition. Only then will the wrestling industry as a whole get better.

Credible is absolutely no loss. Notice how no one in this thread is moaning about his firing.

Raven is a loss, though. He's getting older, and is in the twilight of his career, but he's still multi-talented. He's still talented enough to be a solid midcard talent: his ring skills are still decent, his promo work is always solid, and he has good psychology. Hell, the guy can even book better than...well, pretty much everyone on the current writing staff.

People are complaining that he gets fired and guys like A-Train still have a job....that's a valid argument. But how about this one: why the fuck hasn't Jeff Hardy been fired yet?

That son of a bitch is in a continual downward spiral of disintegration before our very eyes, managing to be simultaneously chronicly depressed, doped-out, and sloppy in the ring, and yet he's still employed. Why? Because a few teenage girls pop for him.

I don't know if the NWA will sign him, although I think he could have a nice home there. If they don't want him as a worker, he'd be a great addition to the office & booking crew.

[P.S. Rico is very talented, and was VERY over as a heel during the "Chuck & Buck" angle, it was just his misfortune to be saddled with two talentless Samoan black-holes that suck all heat from everything around them.]

Raven could be the newest NWA/TNA World Champion or could very well join S.E.X.! Smart move WWE, let Raven spread his wings elsewhere... in a place he WILL get respect!

Winter, Credible seems likely to be the first to get a deal and would be a solid additon to S.E.X. or the X-Division!

HTH beat me to it...they could assemble quite a nice little Flock in NWA now. Bring in Saturn...wait for Billy Kidman to realize he's never going to be pushed above Cruiserweight Title, and even that won't garauntee him any PPV time and very little TV time (he's gotten more TV time talking to & kissing his girlfriend than wrestling this year). What's Mikey Whipwreck doing right now...he wasn't a Flocker, but he did have a rather entertaining tie in with the Minister just before ECW went under.

With Raven in NWA (assuming he doesn't go play with the Franchise or Sabu elsewhere), the World Title would finally have some people to make it interesting.

I think it's fair to say that the Justin Credible experiment is a DISMAL failure. Heyman tried to push him as a threat, it didn't work. The WWE tried to get him over, the fans didn't care. He's never drew a dime in the business, and gives NEGATIVE heat.

I am a bit surprised that NWA hasn't made an attempt for Saturn. He's probably marketable enough to get over there. He'd be a more welcome addition than goddamn Road Dogg. But I think Saturn now has a deal in place for him to work in New Japan, I believe as a trainer.

Kidman really is better off in the WWE right now. That could change - after all, he IS a cruiser and thus is in constant threat of HS ("Hoss Squash" (TM) ), but he's talented enough that they can flirt with pushing him in the midcard. They just need to work on that charisma problem of his.

Mikey, sadly, has retired. I'm hoping he continues to train younger talent, though, because he seems to be pretty good at that.

Thanks for the info Se7en. Sad about Mikey, and unfortunate about Saturn....I popped in an ECW DVD last night which lead off with an Elimators match...such a waste that he'll likely never see a WWE ring again. He did everything they asked, including taking a punishment for working too stiff and turning it into a several-month-long silly/funny angle.

Actually, it was ECW's first ever PPV Barely Legal where they defeat the Dudley's, and even Gertner feels Total Elimination when he tries to overturn the decision under the "Dudleyville Scoring System". But, thanks for the reminder, I will be popping that one in shortly.

I was always pissed that they never used them more on T.V. for some reason they couldn't get over with the fans. When the list of contenders after Jarrett starts with K-Kwik, you & I could get an immediate push if we climbed on board.

Until now, it seems, that whole show is about the X-division. Which, while entertaining, can't be good for the company (the unimportance of the world title, that is). I would imagine that's why Raven was so eager to jump ship that he allegedly asked for his release...the angle the WWE writers were putting together for him had been evolving for over 6 months, and he was just getting back on the main show.

Hopefully this will attract more talent and give them something to work with in the heavyweight division.

jerry lynn-wasnt he in the wwe?hate, the great and underappreciated Jerry Lynn got released by the WWE (won the WWE Cruiserweight Title on a HeAT before some PPV and basically jobbed the rest of the way in his second stint in the WWE) after getting injured and resurfaced in the NWA/TNA from the start. He is part of the foundation of the upstart promotion of NWA/TNA.

who is amazing red and the truth ?Amazin Red is a great young wrestler who has ten times as much talent as Rey Rey and Jeff Hardy combined! He's a red-headed freckled kid with a red outfit from Brookyln and adapted the style of Rey Rey (his hero), luchalibre style like his cousins, the tag team SAT (Spanish Announce Team) and does the 619 but calls it 718 to represent his area code (Holla!). His finisher is called the Infared (Corkscrew Moonsault).

The Truth is Ron Killings aka K-Kwik from the WWE. He tagged with Road Dogg in the WWE and had a decent feud with him in TNA. He has become a huge contender and held the title for a while. Took me a long time to admit it but he is great on the mic and has solid athletic maneuvers. He is now a credible champion in my eyes (cuz he got a chance to shine). Just like Raven has had just in about 2 minutes.
