Perhaps someone has a solution to this computer annoyance I'm experiencing.

Every time I open an e-mail, or an internet site, it opens up extremely minimized.

Is there any way to alter a setting to have all windows open maximized? I'm using Windows ME.

I have Windows ME too and I had that problem. I open the window and size it manually (with the arrows, not hitting the square in the top right.) Then I open a second window from one of my bookmarks and resize it if necessary.

Then I close the first window and then the second.

That worked for me. I was told by a computer type guy to hit shift when I maximize but that never worked for me.

Oh well, that's all I got. If anyone has a better way I'd love to see it.

I forgot to mention (and I'm too
lazy to open Netscape to edit, so
i'm double-posting), my guess is
that the problem is caused by
previously opened pop-up ad
windows. Try downloading a
pop-up stopper. Even if that's not
the problem, it won't hurt to get
rid of pop-ups.

maybe this will help

To start a program as a taskbar button or as a maximized window

Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Taskbar and Start Menu. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Advanced. In the Start Menu folder, find the shortcut to the program you want to start, and then click it. On the File menu, click Properties, and then click the Shortcut tab. In the Run list, click Minimized if you want the program to open as a taskbar button, or click Maximized if you want the program to open as a full-screen window. Notes

To open the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties dialog box, right-click an empty area on the taskbar, and then click Properties. Starting a program as a taskbar button is useful for the program shortcuts in your Startup menu. To use the program, click its button on the taskbar. Starting a program in a maximized window is useful for items you typically run in a full screen, such as your word processing program. Each time you start the program, it will open in a full-screen window.

Here's your problem, you're using IE. Try Opera, it'll make it all better. Plus, it has a pop-up blocker built in.

Even better...get Mozilla.

Plus it's free and no pop ups.
