Can You Go To Watch Night Court

My father told me that when he
lived in NYC in the late 60s a the
best (and cheapest) date to take
a girl on was to grab dinner in
Chinatown, goto watch Night
Court downtown and then take a
round-trip ride on the Staten
Island Ferry.

My question is: Can you actually
go and watch Night Court? Is
there still such a thing? Does
Dan Feilding still work there?

Does anyone know?

Yes, you can watch night court, day court, whatever. It's open to the public. A friend of mine actually had to go every night and take notes for community service.

I guess back then it was cheaper than going to movies, and who knew that they would be forerunners in all these reality judge/court shows

You can watch night court (and many other courts as well).

But I question that people would consider it the "best date."

I bet there were a lot of hippies getting busted back in the day. They probably put on a show to let the man know that they mean business. Like Abbie Hoffman in that movie. I'd go see that!

i hate watching night court what a dumb show and i bet there has never been a judge that does magic -
