The only thing that I find funny about Billy, is how he gets all high mighty as if he's a real comic who has paid his dues and looks down on up and coming comics. He's a hacks hack, is unfunny, and has the worst timing I've ever heard from a comic. if it's all been elaborate bit though all along...it's brilliant.

I've never been to the show in New York, never went to a R&F social function, never met with Billy personally. I don't know him, haven't hung out with him, and thus I don't have an accurate gauge as to the real Billy.

So, to those who really know him: is he really this massively untalented in real life?

And if so, does he really have as inflated an opinion of his abilities as he exhibited on the show tonight? "I deserve better treatment than that from the network." BETTER TREATMENT? He fucking answers phones for a living!!!

not at all. i have never liked billy on the show, he's just not funny. i always groan when he comes on air. even when they're making fun of him (which, truth be told, is most of the time), i dont even enjoy it anymore, because it means that he has to be there. awful.

when i met billy, though, he seemed really nice. so i feel kinda bad about hating him.

R&F have the 'touch' that makes their bits delightful. (Yeah, I know that's a fruity word but I think it's the right one.) Too often, when Billy shows up it is like someone pulled the emergency brake on the funny bus. <P>
In short, on the show Billy can't be a good ham-handed unfunny hack because he is a bad ... well, you get the idea. I wish him well though. ;-) <P>

Exactly, he is a great punching bag. The bulls-eye on his big ass made for such a GREAT comedy pyramid that it actually became two pyramids. But even within those bits, he causes uncomfortable moments of silence when he tries to combat an insult & just says something downright corny as hell. He overdoes the act, and it isn't funny.

Ron & Fez have the gift & the timing to pull that gag off because they're pros...Billy is such an unfunny hack, he can't even pull off the bit of being an unfunny hack. I got so mad during the I can't get the Prince Albert bit, then I realized, there was NEVER any chance of him getting it. It was merely an akward segue into another forced-fed apology letter.

I'm sure he's a nice guy, a miserable mess & a failure at life, but according to Ron has a heart of gold & a jaw of glass (which explains why he's allows himself to be torn to shreds). But he's so untalented, that when he tries to portray a loser, he doesn't do it believably.
