I'm so fucking sick of this asshole. He has about as many sources as you or I and knows just as much about radio. He has NO credentials, and has never worked in radio aside from his stupid internet shows. What this fucknut figures is if that he says WNEW will flip once a week everyweek people will think he's a genius when it finally happens.

I've got a solid source. But, again, let me caution anyone who over-reacts to this.

My lastest info is that WNEW is indeed going to adopt a AAA format. It will target 18-34 women with its music rotation and also by programming various "entertainment features" (I can't be more specific so don't ask what that means).

There is a great deal of concern that WNEW *not* be a competitor to WXRK. That's the reason for the female emphasis and the "entertainment features". After the constant tug of war between WNEW and WXRK for young men, Infinity is determined to separate the two station's target demos.

Don't have a specific start date...

Please REMEMBER: The last time I posted about WNEW adopting a AAA format, I put a "?" in the title of the post and said it "may begin" the following Monday. Obviously it did not start on that date--but I want to make it clear that I used the words "may begin" and also stated "no guarantee". While I appreciate being used as a source of info, please don't misquote me.

As far as this post is concerned, I'm confident in the source. I won't "guarantee" it but, if I were a betting man, I'd put money on it.
