They are obviously getting a huge volume of calls, hence the "runaround". Keep calling, be polite and start writing again. We are trying to create a "buzz", hopefully some Infinity Exec will be paying attention. I also suggest you call and ask for John Fullam and John Sykes in addition to Karmazin. Spread it around.

I had a bit of sucess. I spoke to the secretary (she is getting swamped, so be polite to her and she'll help you out) She really doesn't know the inner workings of WNEW because they basically function independantly from MTV/Viacom (where her office is). she tried to give me the 102.7 number, i explained that no one will pick up because most of the staff there was fired months ago. I asked her if I should call fullam or sykes' office, and she said that they might be too high up to know what's going on too (but its still our best shot). then I made up some stuff about me running a web site about New York entertainment and how I needed this information for my readers. She transefered me to some programming guy (andy something) and I left a message. So i got a bit of a run around but at least I made some progress with the secretary, maybe you guys can take it from there.

I don't think a protest will help any. I want to be positive on this, but it didn't help O&A. Besides a protest, no matter what the number of people are there, they always turn ugly and we don't want that. If you guys want to hold up signs like Sheepy and Melly did at the Today show, fine. Just don't cause a riot or anything.

I called Mel's office and spoke to his secretary. She listened to what I had to say, I'm sure not writing it down. So keep those calls coming in!

I don't think a protest at a bar is a good idea, but this would be a good time to stage some sort of rally. If we do, it must be professional. we're dealing with the media here, and the news will be all over this, trying to make us look like clowns (and make CBS/Viacom look even worse).

Sorry for the double post before, my computer is acting funny today. I was at the O&A protest, and I think part of the problem was there were not enough people there, only like 30 or 40. I believe that if enough people show up, and we all keep our cool, a rally could be effective or at the very least, draw attention to our cause. This is so frustrating! I feel the need to do something! The bar 9 thing on my last post was in reference to if anybody(ron, fez, ect....)were still planning to be there, not about having a protest there. Sorry for the confusion, and the long message.

If it was a well thought-out, well put together talk maybe someone can show a good position as to why RnF should return to NYC. An intelligent talk, not someone running up and shouting profanities at the man. It seems like a long shot but a lot of things seem that way, and desperate times call for desperate measures.

I'm not sure a rally is the best idea. No one seems to show up, first of all, and the press will be just DYING to make us all look like fools. Taking comments out of context, giving false information, and making us all look like big orange balls of failure. Write letters, phone every day, and maybe we can get someone from the press to do a story. We need ONE interested and honest reporter to help. We can't let this one go everyone. Look at the NON support that O&A got. But unlike them, Ron & Fez didn't do anything to piss off Infinity, the station just wasn't making money. With enough protest, maybe we CAN change the situation.
