I realise that this is a really tough time for all R&F fans, but I really just wanna say something in the wake of what is a very, very upsetting time...whatever you do, and no matter what happens, remember that where ever the boys go, they'll go, cause it's their job.
I'd say it's pretty obvious that Ron and Fez will eventually wind up on WJFK full time from DC. Everything Ron hinted at since they got back from break leads to a DC move. And no matter how many of us may feel about DC...or for that matter, "our boys" being on anywhere else and not NY, they do still have to make a living.
I only fear that a lot of R&F followers will be upset with the boys, if somehow, they don't get to make a big deal about saying goodbye to NY. Say, they are on in DC tonight...or sometime this week, and they don't devote the show to how much they miss NY already, don't hold it up as "how could they!!" They have a job to do. And while yes, I would like to think we fans here in NY added as much enjoyment to their lives at times, as they did to ours most of the time, that doesn't really make the kind of radio that will sell a new home city on you.
Basically, what I'm saying is...If they move on, and don't feel it benefits the show to dwell on a very difficult situation publiclly, to a market that isn't directly impacted by it...don't start crying "What about us?!?" Because just like the true professionals they are...they have a job to do and people to entertain. May we one day be those people again...but for now, if you need R&F to publically state how much they enoyed being in NY and interacting w/ us...then I really don't know if you ever got it.
