Yes, infinity owns WJFK in DC, as well as the rights to Ron and Fez and other shows.

Ron and Fez are still broadcasting down here as of now, but as for NY it's uncertain.

Market 7 is not bad in the radio buisness. There are some 150 some markets, so at least its in the top ten.

The show is building a fanbase here aswell, and it's gotten some reconition from radio critics down here as well.

Although NY is the place to be for Radio, they are somewhat better of at JFK.

Three Reasons.

1. It's a fresh start for the boys, they are getting a chance here and will capatilize. A new fanbase, new callers, new stuff. New York will be missed, by old listeners more than new. I'll miss callers like East Side Dave, Jersey Rich and Heckler, hell ill miss EVERYONE. But atleast the boys have a place to go.

2. They are getting a great lead-in. Don and Mike (although hated here) are huge in DC. They are supplying RnF with possible fans, and that will only lead to high ratings as those people listen to RnF and become regular listeners.

3. They won't be associated as the Show thats trying to save a station. They seemed to be doing that when OnA got fired, but now they don't have that on thier shoulders.

Yeah its sucks that the guys are leaving NY. And im gonna try and do what i can to help inform or NY friends about the shows happenings. but atleast they have a home, and they are welcome in DC anytime in my book.

I heard Hitler's great grand son is the CEO of Infinity...I don't know I may be wrong...But I think the guys will land on the feet they are both really smart guys and know how to grab a crowd. They were there for all of us so many times certainly around 9/11 and I think that we now just have to rally around them and trust that they will do something to somehow get back in New York

Ron and Fez are not better off in DC. New York provided them with a great physical backdrop for the show. Are they gonna be able to check out 'The Ladies from Across the Way' from the JFK studios?..I don't think so. However... I'd rather listen to them broadcasting from JFK than not be able to listen to them at all! THIS SUXXXX!

It's a New York show, but where are they gonna go other than DC right now? It's unlikely theyll get picked up by krock, and XM seems far off.

For better for for worse, DC spawned Stern and The Greaseman, both of whom were pretty big for a while (Stern still is, obviously), and D&M, crappy show or not, have a sweet syndication deal...things could happen very quickly for R&F here...

There's hope - D.C. is a good base for Ron and Fez's return to NYC and national syndication. Look at the history: Howard Stern came up from D.C., and both the Greaseman and Don and Mike were syndicated from D.C., although both Greaseman and D&M were booted from NYC, they still are doing well in D.C.

They're better than a certain nameless off-the-air loser duo who pissed off the NYC branch of the Catholic League and got fired (again!).

So Ron and Fez have some positive reason to be hopeful that this stint in D.C. is temporary.

don't forget about the sports junkies. their show was pretty similar to rnf(it seems like you are just hanging out, no format no nothing). they got insane numbers in dc. like 20 shares of men. This is the spot that rnf took over so it is a prime sport in a top 10 area. Every radio show that has been on wjfk has been syndacated, while none of them to major markets like la, except for stern.

Wjfk is the hub for every major talk radio show that is in america. I only see good things coming from this.

Infinity Broadcasting prohibits it's programs from being broadcast via the web. Infinity actively shuts down and prosecutes any rebroadcast or pirate stream of the show. That being said, pirate streams do exist and many members of RonFez.net do use them. BUT, to post the addresses on this board would be asking to shut them down. Nobody wants that.

So, if you are looking for a stream, we suggest you become an active member of the board, gain the trust of members that seem like they use the pirate streams and try to covertly ask them for the stream. Getting an internet stream is much like buying crack, in more ways than one.

Any post asking for streams will be deleted by the moderators.

As for Internet radio, if it existed there would be a reason it is called "Syndication UNDERGROUND".

If it were easy to find , there would be links all over the board, instead of threads being locked.
