If R&F are not on WNEW at 7:00, I suggest a boycott of all Infinity owned stations. I have changed all of my presets on my cars and home stereo and have left NEW to see what happens. Here are all the NY-Infinity stations and what to change them to.

660 WFAN=1050ESPN

1010WINS=1130 Bloomberg

92.3WXRK=104.3 Q104

880 WCBS=1130 Bloomberg

WCBS,FM= Find some oldies garbage

WNEW= No longer relevant or 770WABC for talk or Z100 for pop.

I am a Howard fan but will sacrifice his show to prove a point. Off to download music for my 2 hour a day commute. Infinity is the Fredo to my Michael Corleone.

I didn't see anything, I didn't hear anything, I wasn't there and if I was there I was asleep.

BOYCOTTING WILL NOT DO SHIT. RADIOS DO NOT PICK UP RATINGS! THE ONLY BOYCOTTING THAT INIFINITY WOULD NOTICE IS BOYCOTTING BY PEOPLE WHO HAVE ARBITRON DIARIES.

I want to remind you that Viacom owns a slew of properties including MTV, Nickelodeon, Vh1, TNN, Simon and Shuester publishing, Paramount Picture, National Amusements movie theaters...just to name a few.

Dont you just love how multi-national conglomerates control your life?

I agree Justin, we must aim for the top of the food chain. The boycott should be of ALL CBS/VIACOM properties, including what was mentioned, as well as CBS, UPN and the NY radio stations previously mentioned.

Now Chickenhawk, and like thinkers, before you spew that boycotts don't work, realize that they can. If we can generate some momentum for this, get some hard copy signatures, not online, but hard copy names and addresses behind it, we might just make enough noise to make something happen. Viacom's stock (VIA on the NYSE)is currently somewhat stable, but if we can generate some press coverage of a boycott, it may be just enough trouble to give the people what they want and put them on K-Rock, prefibly live, but I'll settle for tape, or a 10-11 oclock start overall.

I'm thinking to put this in motion, Bar 9 might be a great starting point, and then maybe do signature stops in LI, Westchester, and north and central Jersey this week, and see if we can't shake up the bigwigs. Remember, our voices won't mean so much as any bad press we can generate for the big boys up top. Fear of that is what killed O and A, but we can put it to our favor to save our Boys.

VIVA LA RESISTANCE! VIVA LA RON! VIVA LA FEZ!!!

Nature Boy ...Signatures sound great to me.. I'm new to the message board but not to the show. I single-handedly spearheading a campaign in NYS & currently in the process of having a Bill passed in NY as well ..pertaining to my daughter who passed away. I know this is somewhat different but I guess what I'm saying is...When I put my mind to something I MAKE THINGS HAPPEN!!! Please tell me what I can do in Yonkers/Westchester. Contact me direct if you want. Bottom line... We NEED RnF!!!! wacmagnet@aol.com

It may not be enough to only boycott the stations themselves. One of many possible ways to get our feelings across is DO NOT patronize the sponsors of any Infinity radio station. I've seen several posts on the board scolding the fans on how this is a business, well then lets hit that business where they make their money. Don't support sponsors of Infinity radio shows in NYC.

The only way any kind of boycott would work is unless, their wallets are hit from the lack of listener and viewers, and we would only have a small hit, nothing for them to worry about, you would need major support for that to occur

Just finished reprogramming my radios. Infinity stations no longer exist in my world. So long Howard, catch you another time Mike and the Mad Dog (football season is over anyway). I have TIVO. Soon to be edited off my TV. CBS,UPN and all the MTV's.

I didn't see anything, I didn't hear anything, I wasn't there and if I was there I was asleep.

The problem with boycotting Viacom is that they own everything. you would basically have to give up the entertainment portion of your life. I will try and boycott all viacom as best as I can but the one thing is I cant give up is the Jets and they play on CBS. everything else I'll do without

Yeah, look up the definition of the word "boycott" in the dictionary. What you're talking about is called a "petition". Learn English. Also, if you think changing the presets on your radio is gonna hurt Infinity, you're retarded. That is NOT how ratings are measured. Congratulations, you lose.

Boycotting the radio won't do jacksquat. Protests outside the stations, letters to newspapers, get in behind TV reports, that will make a bigger difference then boycotting radio. The TV on the other hand makes more sense. And if you really want to get them, boycott the advertisers. No advertisers, no money, no paycheck for Mel Karmazin. Call him til the cows come home. I've left three messages already. Go to infinitybroadcasting.com. Write letters to these addresses:

boycotting the radio solves nothing....they don't even know you're doing it...
