Just a bit of a "reality check" here:
The reason we are calling Viacom/CBS/Infinity is simple: we are showing our support for Ron and Fez. We want to create a "buzz", we want the suits at Infinity to hear our voices of discontent, that's the way things get done in "Corporate America" and we have been doing it well.
We are not ignorant. Ronnie mentioned the move to WJFK months ago and a move to K-Rock is a longshot at best.
However, if enough of us voice our opinions things CAN change. Let's just "keep on keepin' on". And finally, when calling or writing: BE RESPECTFUL.

1st thing - Nice Capra allusion. <P>
2nd - I agree with your take on how things work in Corporate America. However, I think we have some special circumstances that complicate the matter at hand. From today's NY Times (most recently), there appears to be a power struggle at Viacom between Redstone and Karmazin. There is the suggestion that Karmazin may walk/be forced out leaving behind Infinity. Since Infinity was his original baby, I'm sure its management guys are aligned with him. Bottom line I think any action not already implemented is going to be frozen until the situation at the top is resolved. <P>
Bottom line - I think any actions we collectively take at this point are going to fall short of the goal. I understand the impulse to do ANYTHING to help keep the boys on in NY but let's not shoot our wad too early and have everybody get frustrated and discouraged over the lack of progress in the short term. <P>

First of all, this is not a duplicate thread. This is just one man stating why some of us choose to do everything in our power to change something, while others view it as a waste of time.

I am sure we will not be hearing R&F on KROCk ever only because its the onl rock station in NY and they get relativly good ratings. There is still a chance and in my opiniona good on that out buddies wll be on tnight because even O&A got a few shows before they were fired and when somethings going down in a station as big a format change, people will notice, I think in ron nd fez noticed thy would hve said something. I will be tuned in at 7:00 and hope to hear tht theme song.
