i WAS a pretty new listener to RnF, but before them i hadn't listened to the radio in about 7 years. in about august i heard the Funniest thing on the radio i've ever heard, it was a discussion about what would win in a fight, a polar bear or a gorilla. i asked my friend to leave it on and from that day i was hooked. i Didn't start listening to O & A til about that time either. O & A got booted... i still had my main reason (that is not saying i didn't like em) for listening to the radio. now that RnF are gone, it ends up back to CD's for me.
Infinity has made a mistake in taking these guys off the air, and hopefully they come back on. (still waiting for my damned BAC.)
there is no blame. except on the genius' who decides the programming.

so to billy, mikey d, harry elvis, wonderboy, black earl, Ron and Fez, Thank you for giving me faith that something different than the same 15 songs in a rotation, or some shock jocks talking about the same damn things every day, is on the air.

i think that was very well written, you took the words right out of my mouth.

it may sound funny, but...i miss them in a very concrete sense...the way you would miss a best friend....and if a radio show can inspire that in a listener...it's obviously brilliant.

Well put. I have never been this sad to see my favorite TV shows go off the air(Cheers, Seinfeld, etc.) At least they got to do a farewell show, dammit! The reason the that wasn't as bad as this is b/c I never interacted with the TV. Whether it be sending an IF that doesn't get read or sounding foolish on the radio at least I was a part of it. I can't take the fact that they will be doing thier show and i won't personally hear any of it...its like a long distance relationship, but instead of talking on the phone we are writing letters
