Are You A Hardcore Fan?

I'm just thinking here about how I need my Ron and Fez. Maybe we can organize and assure ourselves that we can always hear the boys. Here what I'm thinking:

I would gladly pay let's say 10 bucks a month to be sure that I could always hear the show. If just 100 people are with me then that is 1000 bucks a month.

Now the good people of DC and Virginia. They want to help us out as best they can, but it would be a burden on them to continuously ask for their help. Let's say 10 people in DC agree to help out with 2 shows per month. That would cover the whole month. Each of those 10 people get 100 a month for their trouble or even more if more people sign up.

I believe that we can organize and everyone will be happy! I hope bringing up cash doesn't seem crass, but I think it is the way to assure reliability - reliability that we up north can hear the show.

I've been lurking here for awhile but I am new to posting. These are my ideas. Any thoughts?

I recognize your name from the show. Who would collect the 10.00? I don't know. It would have to be a regular who is trusted I would imagine. I would be happy to do it, but I'm new and so I wouldn't expect people to trust me.

And let's not get too paranoid over 10 bucks. I would certainly be willing to risk that on the first month. Once it's running smooth there is no cause for concern.

I have no idea! I don't even have speakers on my damn computer yet. If a website feed will do it then that would be great. I am really talking about anyway I can get on the net to hear the show. The computer people would have to tell us how it is done.

I believe we have a lot of smart people here who can get together and solve the problem if we really care and are willing to do something about it. I miss Ron and Fez!

silera, i believe "it" refers to the:

A) a web feed
and
B) the person in DC doing the web feed for us NYC area listeners.

but like i said before, there has to be rules. the show must sound good or the person does not get paid. also cash on delivery only. once the month has been completed then and only then does this person, in DC, get paid.

OK of the people participating in this thread no, what would be ur favored way of gettin the show...live internet feed? Recordings shared over something like kazaa? What is everyone's preference.

THE KEY is to get people who will do the feed. Maybe some regulars can make contact other regulars from DC. If that part gets done, the rest will fall into place.

Silera,I know that feeds cannot be discussed, and I know why (I work in the internet business). But, it is very hard to get answers about any SU links. I had one, but it's not working tonight. This thread isn't a bad idea, and I'd be willing to pay. I am one of the many, many fans who have been listening a LONG time but have not been very active on the boards. So, what does someone like me have to do gain trust for a SU link? I'll take a R&F quiz if I have to! :)

Stick around. Get someone to vouch for you, like a regular poster. It's the only way to make sure that the feeds stay up.

I just wish "gaining the trust" of members wasn't such a difficult thing. Many of us hardcore fans are being denied the very thing that is supposed to unify us. I said I would pay for this idea, and I guess I would pay for a SU link as well.

It just sucks to be called a "newbie" just because I don't post to these boards very often. Many people that would call me a newbie have been listening to R&F not nearly as long as I have.
