Infinity doesn't give a rat's ass about us, so to hell with them! Howard is the main reason why there cannot be any FM talk on in NYC. He does everything in his power to stop this format in NY, but he lets other markets, DC and Philly have it.

Why? Because he's an egocentric, insecure loser who cannot stand seeing anyone else but himself have any success in entertainment.

Boycott Stern and F*ck the Infinity-Corporate-Whores!!!

Boycott all their stations. wcbs, krock, wfan, wcbs-am, wcbs-fm and wnew. I'm boycotting them and I realize it probably means nothing to A giant radio conglomarate like Infinity but at least it's a way for the average Joes to support the old WNEW shows.

Stern SUCKED ever since about Jackie left and his divorce started. That's about the time I got sick of his shit. And THIS from a man who listened religiously, and read BOTH his books twice each! (I know it's not HARD reading)

But yea, I've been boycotting Stern for years, and radio play music for like a Decade now.

Once I got into O & A and R & F, I stopped listening altogether. I, too, was a 365 day a year Howard listener.

When the fuck are people gonna realize you can't BOYCOTT RADIO!!! Ratings are not taken when you turn your radio on! I've never listened to Stern at all, so nothing would change for me... But it means NOTHING, because unless you get an Arbitron book, no one knows or cares what you're listening to.

That is so depressing. Short of stealing an arbitron book, what do you suggest we do? They really would not feel it if 20 or 30 thousand people (I'm assuming these are R & F's real listener numbers give or take a few thou)just stopped patronizing their station especially Howard's program. What is the arbitron book based on if not the share of listeners listening? I don't know the radio biz part of it obviously, so educate me a little. Doesn't it work like Nielson ratings? Can't they tell how many radios are tuned to their station during a set time? Are they affected by boycotting of sponsors? What is the best way to get deep up their assholes fast. I'm all set to send out a mailing of dozens of letters. Will that help?

Well, I'm actually about to participate in Arbitron sampling for the first time since I was 13 (I'm 22 now).

I've been listening to Howard since 91/92 and I happen to be a big fan, even though I recognize the show has dipped in quality, especially starting sometime in '99.

However, I'm not a "fanboy" of Howard or O&A or R&F. I just enjoy all of them. O&A's problem or vendetta is not mine, likewise for the other shows.

It is not Howard's fault O&A or R&F are not here anymore. Any suggestion that it is is absurdity. No one was kept from New York. No one was removed by Howard. He didn't start in on O&A, they started in on him. Those of us who listened to O&A since they came in 98 know this. That was O&a's game and it served them rather well, actually, ntil they got cancelled. Which, of course, had NOTHING at all to do with Howard Stern!!!


The real culprits are the ASSHOLES who ran the station (WNEW). Jeremy Coleman and Ken Stevens. They let O&A run a contest with illegal activity and allowed them to attach a big name sponsor to it. How can they be allowed back in the radio business??

Couple that with the way they jerked Ron and Fez and D&M around and let things fester with O&A and D&M- the station was never stable because of this, and, predictably, could not survive without O&A.

I know boycotting a radio station doesn't really mean a whole lot, but regardless of that, i won't listen to infinty stations because they fucked o&a, they really fucked ron and fez, so fuck them! <P>

it really dosent matter who boycots what cause were just a fraction of the audiance that stern gets. were even a small fraction of what he gets in NY. Even though most R&F fans are stern fans we are only a small part of the NY fans he has. boycots would do little 2 nuttin and we got to listen to sumptin besides the Zmorning zoo. you know sumptin entertaining for instance

Howard and Mel Karmazin have been working together for years..Howard made Infinity what it is today. Boycotting Stern will never work. Howard wants to get involved in film production. Maybe a couple of years and he'll leave radio. I know, he's been saying that he's leaving for years but I have a feeling that he's bored with radio.
