The day after, lot's to update.

I am speechless at the outpouring of love and support for me and my shows. I can't say
thanks enough! There have been hundreds of emails coming in and I can't thank you
enough. Sorry if I have been unable to respond to all, but it's been that crazy. I had no idea
how many people Friday & Saturday Night Rocks touched in so many ways. Just unreal!
Cleaned my stuff out at NEW last night, lot's of CDs and prizes that will be great for the next
station I land at! Forgot how much stuff I had stored there over the years. Now I have a huge
metal library sitting in my living room (hopefully not for long). I am trying to keep a positive
attitude, and your support has really helped. What is really amazing to me is how many
people loved the shows for more then just the music. It seems that the entire style and
approach was what really connected with people, and this will help me to be even better
next time around.
I understand everybody is upset with WNEW for the change, but please don't bother anybody
there. They have been real supportive and are trying to help. Radio is a business, and as
much as this sucks, it's part of it. If you want to write a letter and show support, your efforts
would be better served by contacting a station you want to hear the shows on. I am making
every effort to try and get back on the radio as soon as possible, and will keep everybody
updated here soon. A few things to address real quick from the massive amount of email:
YES EddieTrunk.com will continue and be updated often, especially this section, which is
more important than ever to check often.
My syndicated show is UNCHANGED. You will still hear the show everywhere outside WNEW
that it was, and we are still working to add new cities and stations! Also, the stream on
KNAC.com remains every Thursday & Saturday 9A-1P Eastern. This is now the only way to
hear me in the NYC area until I get a new station. I will continue to produce new weekly
shows for all affiliates (these are all pre-recorded). The show that airs this week on
KNAC.com will be a replay of what turned out to be the last ever Saturday night show on
WNEW. Guests were Ripper from Judas Priest and Don Dokken. Brand new shows will
continue on all fronts.
The shows I was presenting will also continue. If I will actually be at all of them, I can't say.
Have to see what my schedule brings. Please keep checking my site.
Many have asked for a final listener event/get together. Hoping to not be gone that long, but
we'll see. Lot's to figure out.
Couple people I forgot to thank first time around:
Johnny Hard Rock: A great friend who actually met his future wife in my chat room!! John
has always been a huge help with the shows.
All the great people that contribute to this site. We have a tremendous support staff of writers
and contributors who do it (and continue to do it) for the love of music. Special thanks to
webmaster Jonathan, who also does a great job and keeps the site cool!
Many have asked about our co-host Mike Piazza, who is obviously also very upset, but also
very optimistic things will work out. He sends his best to all!
