Sunday night, I thought my world had come crashing down when Ron and Fez bit the dust on WNEW. Off the Super Bowl high, down to seeing Jeff's message, my heart sunk, a panic attack set in, and I could only wait and ponder what life would be like without WNEW as we knew it.
Well I"m happy to report, it turns out to be not so bad. Sure I wish things never changed, but I'm struck, suprised and very happy over the spontaneous unitiy and pulling together on our end of things. Just everyone here doing all they can, whatever they're capable of on their end, whether it's calling Infinity and satallite stations, writing them, or find alternate means for getting us the Ron and Fez fix. I don't dare thank you all by name, for fear of jeopardizing you, but you know who you are, and you can't be praised or thanked enough. And there are too many to thank individually, so I thank you all. You've brought sunshine to a lot of rainy days. It's cliche to say, but I've never heard it be more appropriate. Ron and Fez are more than just a radio show, and I think we're blessed for realizing it. And I think we're doubly blessed, because something very special is underway here, because in a time when people drift apart, we have come together.
Someday soon, Ron and Fez will return from exile, and we'll all listen knowing that we were no small part of that happening. But in this time of darkness, it's great to know the RF.netters led the way.
