I am keeping up my self imposed Infinity ban. The mornings have been tough, the Q, Curtis and Kuby or whatever else I try in the morning. At 10 I listen to Michael Kay on ESPN till about 1 or so. The Dan Patrick show is like fuckin sominex so I have had a hard time with that so far. At 3 I turn on Don and Mike from the philly station(94.1 if you can get it) trying to see if any R&F info slips out. At 7 I stick my head into the oven with the gas on, run the car with the engine on and the garage door closed, then slip into the tub and do a Frankie Five Angels.

I didn't see anything, I didn't hear anything, I wasn't there and if I was there I was asleep.

I listen to 93.9 WNYC the public chanel. It went all talk after september 11th and clasical music is slow to make a comeback on this station now. The best show is FRESH AIR with Terry Gross, the very best interviewer I have ever heard, on every day at 3:00. Her interveiw of Gene Simons was almost as funny as R+F. Unfortunatly, the rest of the talk on this station is as dry as burnt toast in the saharah on a particularly dry day with some of that silica crystal stuff sprinkled on top. Informative though. <P>

i listen to cd's (burning them from kazaa and whatever bootleggd ones i can manage to find on the streets) and whatever crappy songs they play on the radio, mostly 104.3 and 92.3...but they suck soooo bad....hoenstly besides our beloved former 102.7 lineup how is it beyond the grasp of every and all stations come up with one good station playing interesting songs beyond the same tired classic rock songs, overproduced nu-metal, and wanna be just god-awful pop...i know it is a reflection of the overall dearth of the music industry, but honestly can't someone come up with one idea with a moderately fresh and broad playlist that doesn't suck...

I have always listend to WNYC (NY Public Radio) 820 AM and sometimes the FM 93.9 I am a card carrying member...Hey I know it's friggin dry but it's real and live. Very very informitive and unbiased. Their local news is excellent but the National Public Radio feed is the best news besides the NY Times. New Sounds at night is sometimes whacky music although host John Schafer is kinda pale. The weekend stuff is pretty compelling like "This American Life" and "Selected Shorts" But hey maybe it's Ron and Fez withdrawl...

Delphine Blue plays great music but only between 12 midnite to 1 AM, Monday through Thursday on FUV, the rest of her show she has to play FUV's boring flower child bullshit, she rocks for that hour though. At 7pm, I just get out my string and dixie cups and tune into R And F in DC. Don't listen to Howard out of desperation. He is a tool, he has the power to bring R & F to his station in NYC and he won't do it because he's afraid. He challenges Danny Bonaduce to match his ratings but he's very happy not to have anyone on the air in market no#1 who can really catch up to him. The pussification of Stern.

Radio fucking sucks disteria sack now but I like to be at least aware of different things out there. Right now, 89.5 wsou(college station), 97.1 (hip hop), 93.9 (NPR- seems to be geared more towards the boomer generation), 104.3 (occasionally), or I just leave the scan button on. Other than that I try as best as I can to reminisce with tapes & Cds that I collected over the years of O&A and R&F but it's just not the same. Fuck you WNEW! You had a loyal following that you just threw away like we're shit!

I have been rediscovering the wonderfulness of WPRB 103.3 outof Princeton College. They have got the best mix of indire and underground music on there and it is almost ALWAYS entertaining. I remember the other week they played a WHOLE Joy Division show from right before ian died and it rocked. Last night they played an epic song from Tired From Now On and it got me to go back and listen to the record and there was Lord Sterling covering the MC5 that I thought it WAS the 5.
Interesting stuff on there friends, interesting stuff. Now I'm gonna go ROCK out!
