They taste exactly alike, the only difference is the side dishes.

Isn't the salisbury steak always crushed into a very flat patty, and the meatloaf is more like a square chunk of mainly breadcrumbs?

There is no difference, they are both made from Soylent-Green.

Salisbury steak rules over meatloaf. Its firmer and in a patty shape. BUT THEY STOPPED MAKING IT the way i like, so i dont eat it anymore

good question...i was a cook in a restaurant that served both....here is the only thing i know: we prepared meat loaf with onions, bread crumbs, eggs and some other seasonings using ground beef....for salisbury steak we would use that same ground beef and make big flat pattis and cook them on the grill then cover it with mushrooms and gravy

I DON'T KNOW THAT I ANSWERED YOUR QUESTION BUT THATS ALL I GOT

i had the same question about 2 months ago. in college i used to get the salisbuy steak Hungryman meal all the time. i liked the corn/mashed potatoes/brownie sides.
so a few months back me and my wife needed a quick dinner meal. so i said how i liked them in college and we picked up 2...one Meatloaf and one Salisbury. It definitely isn't the same steak i had in the past..it sucked. So i tried hers and it tasted exactly the same. nothing different about it, but mine looked like it had grilled lines in it. i wasn't happy.

the worst part of it though was they took my brownie side away. those thing f'n kicked ass. it will be my last Hungryman.

salisbury steak was created by a retard. he thought that if an asmatic ate 3 patties of beef a day it would cure asma. It didn't but the steak was apparently delicious so he marketed it.

and yes i can't spell at all i guess that makes me a retard.

That pisses me off too. Last time I got it they had "vanilla swirl" pudding instead. Fuckers.

The brownies were always gross. They smelled and tasted like the other food. Yuck.

was it the Hungryman brownie....if it was i disagree. those things were just as good as the ones you bake...well close to as good.
