so how do you style/manage your hair?

i used to part it in the middle and push it back on the sides, believe they called it a DA(duck's ass) Then somewhere along the line i started pushing it all back and started using gel...

In the shower I shampoo and condition. Then I put some gel in in and comb it. It's parted on the left.

I got a haircut yesterday that I really like. First good haircut in a few months.

I shampoo and condition every shower. Then, I just let it air dry as I brush it every now and then.

I SHOULD blow dry it but it's to the middle of my back and would take too long. I'm lazy too. And I KNOW blowdrying would get the wave out of my hair, but again, I'm lazy.

I wash and shampoo my hair only twice a week, because it's very long. Once a week, I put in a hot oil treatment. I then put rollers in it and sit under a professional dryer for two hours for it to dry and bitch and complain to anyone that will accept my im's.

Once every other month, I go to the Salon and sit for 7 hours while they dye my hair back to brown, dry it, and then pull out the highlights wash and dry it again.

In between washes, I usually use frizz ease or some other type of non oil based product to keep the sheen and help it from getting frizzy.

Every night before I go to bed, I wrap my hair into a "magic bun", so that it doesn't get tangled while I sleep and in the morning when I let it loose, it's all bouncy and pretty and stuff.

Ha ha, I'm a girl.

I wash my hair only every-other day b/c it's dry-dry-dry and color-treated.

I always use conditioner because it helps me get a comb through it to get the tangles out.

I rarely blow-dry, but, if/when I do, I use a "heat-activated" leave-in conditioner to protect it from drying out too much. Sometimes I use hair-spray or wave-cream, but I don't always do that.

If I remember, I do the hot-oil thing once every couple months b/c I like the way the aromatherapy ones smell.

After every wash, I either braid, french braid or ponytail my hair so it's easier to comb out in the morning.

And I almost always wash my hair at night so it dries by the time I leave for work.

such a girlie thread... it's odd that it was started by a boy. anyway, i have very long hair. i wash it every other night, shampoo and condition each time. i just brush it while wet, go to sleep, and when i wake up, it's all nice and pretty. i dont generally put any additional products in it, it's pretty managable

I wash and condition it with Body Shop products. Every other day, sometimes every 3 days. I almost never blow dry it unless I'm going out.

I need to fix my hair. At the end of October I got it lightened a whole shitload (my hair is naturally almost black) then got light blond highlights, which everyone likes, but now i got black roots coming in, it looks ghetto, and i don't know if i have the $300 or the 5 hours or go back and get it all done again.

Speaking of which, today I planned on going to Millie's Unisex in L.E.S. to get my hair done.

I use Pantene shampoo and conditioner and usually a 5-minute leave in treatment also.

If I want it wavy/curly I add mousse and some frizz-free serum.

If I want it straight, I use Physique leave in treatment and some sort of frizz-free serum. Then Blow-dry. Which takes about an hour.

But I much rather go to the Dominican chicks in Delancey... them bitches work wonders with a roll-brush.

P.S. Right now my hair is in an bun. *gag*

I use a lot of shampoo... thats all. 1 shower a day. I think all that shampoo dries out my head (thats why it's itchy)
