Help figure out the end of this movie

Ok I have seen the movie "The Black Hole" (With the Red Robot Maximillian, and V.I.N.C.E.N.T. and the capt wanting to go into the black hole) for over twenty years now, and I am trying to figure out if the end of the movie is all about Dr. Reinhart and Maximillian descending into hell and the other crew ascending into heaven or what...The whole Goddamn thing is trippy if you ask me. If anyone has seen this movie give me your opinion.

As for the end, I completely agree and always thought it was quite clear. The Blackhole acted as a portal to the afterlife. V.I.N.C.E.N.T and the crew's destination was heaven whereas Dr. Reinhart & Maximillian where sent to Hell.

Remember the galactic gunslinger "S.T.A.R" and the older model of V.I.N.C.E.N.T called "Bob"? Great movie and oh did I love the hypnotic musical score!

There was a 3 issue comic book series for the Black Hole way back when. Issues 1 and 2 were the movie, issue 3 was what happens on the other side. I haven't read it in a very long time, so I don't remember.

I thought they were on their way back to earth. I agree that Reinhart and Maximillian were in hell. Reinhart and Maximillian were "one" -- if you remember his eyes peeking out of Maximillian's mask.
