View Full Version : Operation Drunken Sit In

Everyone wants a plan, here's mine.
This Saturday, after a great and drunken night at the Hard Rock, we unite as common friends and allies in a Ron & Fez army and, when Hard Rock finally kicks us out, we miltarily march over to WNEW, into the lobby, and have a good old sit-in. We don't budge until security escorts us out and we make it clear we want the buddies back in NY. I believe this plan to be practical: we'll have numbers; WNEW is only a very short walk away; and we'll have a key component- Booze Energy. I'm not saying my plan isn't flawed (we may have to protest outside if the lobby isn't open), but I think it's a start. What do you guys think?

<font color=purple>I like it, but will it have the same effect if we do it at the Red Rock?

How about you all drive down, and have operation sit in at WJFK, than make them kick you outta the state before you leave!

<font color=purple>In all seriousness, a sit in isn't a bad idea, but we'd be better off doing it during the work week.
We need to get the attention of the suits, not security.

I already started!
I hope this doesn't turn into Operation Get Too Drunk By Saturday And Pass Out On My Desk Before I Can Get To Hard Rock.

We don't budge until security escorts us out
wouldn't that be budging?
and if you're going to leave as soon as security escorts you out, then this'll be over almost immediately because as that square badge sees a drunken crowd approach, he's going to make a call.

This is true. Like I said,it has holes. But I feel like we're missing a golden opportunity to do something. I'm sure if we put our heads together, we can have a more detailed plan. I'm just trying to start things.
The main point is we have big a chance as a mob to act pro-actively.

Please, I suggest you stay outside of the building. It's much safer... public property, and less chance of gettin in trouble and or arrested.

Dave it's a great plan but my thing is there won't be anyone at WNEW (well important anyway) to see our protest. Also if we gather a big crowd together, that's good. A big crowd that's DRUNK, not good. We don't need to cause trouble because that won't get us anywhere.

Dave, it's great that you're thinking of a plan to make our voices heard.
I must join Effmeboobs however, in suggesting that a "drunken protest" is not a good idea. We don't want to be perceived as that kind of crowd. Nor do we want to appear to be a "miltarily march."
If anyone has connection to TV or the Newspapers, invite your connections to the Hard Rock. We'll give them a lot of sound bites and express our desire to have Ron and Fez back in NY where they belong.
