MECW going national with big stars!

A Indiana group called Main Event Championship Wrestling (MECW) has announced plans to become a national promotion financed by owner John Collins.

Here is a list of the possible superstars:
Randy Savage, Buff Bagwell, Sandman, Tracy Smothers, Terry Taylor, Scott Hall, Jack Victory, Chris Harris, Michael Shane, Joey Abs, Murray Happer, Jason Sensation, Dave Penzer, Road Warriors, Sabu, Simon Diamond, Roadkill, Chris Chetti, Danny Doring, Blue Meanie, Jasmin St. Claire, Curt Henning, Joey Styles, Don Callis, Terry Funk, Francine, Bill Alfonso, Public Enemy, Dawn Marie, Mikey Whipwreck, Steve Corino, Little Guido & Tony Mamaluke.

They plan to run weekly shows starting in the fall and has already scheduled an August 11th date at the ECW Arena in Philadelphia. Four television stations to air the show. Sunshine Network in Florida, America One Network, UPN-57 in Philadelphia and a UPN affiliate that serves Southern Indiana, Southern Illinois and Northern Kentucky.

Tracy Smothers is leaving the federation.

"Tracy Smothers is no longer going to be associated with MECW. All dates in the South that Smothers was going to be promoting under the MECW banner will still take place, but Smothers will be promoting the shows on his own." -1Wrestling.com

The other reason for the free tickets is the building itself. Who wants to sit there in the heat with no A/C and ceiling fans with no blades? If they can pull it off, more power to them.
