i'm looking for places to play in NJ when summer hits, that'll play heavier music, but not only death metal, and still has a little of it's own draw. reply, or if it seems like promoting clubs or somesuch, Email bigbaldirish@msn.com, with some names if you could. it would be much appreciated.

No problem.

I see a lot of places that put on heavier shows.

Connections in Clifton is the 1st that comes to mind.

Hartley's is another.

Krome is a little South but we opened for Vader and Immolation there. Good show.

The Court Tavern used to play heavy shit.

There's a Legion hall in Garfield I see MANY Metal and Hardcore shows going down at.

My advice is to get some show flyers at local music stores like Music Connection, Sound Exchange and Vintage Vinal.( Backstage Rehearsals in West Paterson has a whole wall of flyers FULL of places that put on shows) Also, these places will have free zines and shit like that.

Look at them for booking/managing people who book shows at local places too.
