Goodbye, Bill Beutel...

A New York news icon is retiring tonight after zillions of years broadcasting on Channel 7... Bill Beutel's sendoff show is tonight at 6PM. I always liked Beutel, I grew up watching him, and he had that stern fatherly quality about it that made the news so good.

I really hope Beutel's final words are a disparaging remark about Sam Champion. :)

John Johnson retired.... he, like Beutel, is in his late 60's/early 70's. He had "senior correspondent" status.

Roger Grimsby died about 8 years ago.
