NWA-TNA = WWE leftovers?!?

What the f?!? bravo, being the only true NWA-TNA mark I take offense to that statement.

Granted, many of these wrestlers may have been released by the WWE but they were never given a chance to shine with such a top heavy stack of veterans who take up 20 minutes a night with useless jibberjabber and of course, since the dawn of time, backstage kissasses.

D-Lo would be great with TNA and he could be the next TNA success story like Ron "The Truth" Killings.

TNA is an alternative to WWE's crap and a chance for some young wrestlers to be put in the forefront.

Do you consider Raven or Jerry Lynn a leftover? Ugh.

D'lo was a good talent on Raw that was used way too little. Looks like they gave him one more chance with the racist angle and when it flopped the WWE didn't want to waste their time on him.

I always liked his cocky head swings out to the ring and all the other things he did. That was good enough for him.

Its probably better that he got released, WWE wasn't going to use him for anything, the best he was ever going to do was main event Heat.

Hey Mark, I only saw NWA-TNA about 5 times, and its been about 3 months. Who have they picked up since then?

I'm not a big wrestling head, but I'll put my 2 cents in on this...feel free to flame me afterward 'cause I wont check back.

Dlo is an arrogant and otherwise borign S.O.B., yes technically he may be talented, but he's boring. For soemone who can't appreciate wrestling from a historical perspective or from a matter of form etc, I think he sucks and I say good riddence.

I always thought that D'lo was an underrated wrestler. He had some really good matches with X-Pac, Jeff Jarrett and Triple H. It's a shame that he never really received a push since the accident with Darren Drosdov (Droz). I always thought that "Road Dogg" Jesse James was responsible for his personality breaking out after the DX Nation of Domination parody. Road Dogg was one of the guys who stole the show in that parody with his hilarious immitation of D'Lo. Farewell D'Lo. What are they going to do with Teddy Long now?

Gwen has a point. although i like d'lo alot, he's never really had a good angle to work with. i like him in the ring. Once he gets on the mike, I'm not moved.

that's why i loved that he was paired with teddy long. Let d'lo do the ring work, and teddy be the mouth piece.

While I'm not by any means comparing them, but people always said the same thing about Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko. If a wrestler has in ring talent, (which D'lo does), and cannot perform on the stick, (which could be argued about D'lo), that does not make him boring. When I watch old or current videos of Japanese wrestling, it's the in ring wrestling that stands out to me. I can't understand anything they are saying, so I can't judge the mic work of the wrestlers.

I realize the point of wrestling is the in ring action, but for someone like me I need the story line to go with it, by all means I don't think the story is the most important part, but Im a simpleton I need more entertainment than sweaty men throwin' down...(unless its a really good match like when the Hardys first came out and started flying around the ring and off of ropes or when Shane got thrown through the glass twice at king of the ring '01 [or was that summer slam], or when HHH hit mick foley with the flaming barbed wire bat)

If theres alot of action I'm there, but if its just your regular run of the mill match I lose interest very quickly. Even with all the backstory and drama leading up to the Rock/HHH Ironman match I thought would sustain me, but that match got old, fast.

I haven't really watched wrestling in a while, but when I turned RAW on for a hot second last week I realized alot of the storylines were still the same except that Val Venis is no longer val venis.

it also doesn't help that RAW flat out sucks. He might've done better on Smackdown, where talented wrestlers get to shine

D'Lo was great in 1998 and had a really good run with the European title. But after that the WWE didn't do jack shit with him and it's their fault why he didn't get over again.

Might as well release him.

Hey Mark, I only saw NWA-TNA about 5 times, and its been about 3 months. Who have they picked up since then?TheKnicks23, check out my 3 starred thread, "Who doesn't love S.E.X?"

They got a whole shitload on new talent and they just keep coming.

Keep releasing talent WWE and Russo will work his magic (they usually work out).

Mark I do enjoy nwa tna truth raven and all the other guys lynn there all very good and i think will be big stars from there work in tna but come on the free birds harris brothers and all the other has beens vince russo will turn the compeny to shit....i forgot sanders the wwe did f up on that one has a good mouth
jratt, ok I hear that.

But I feel the Harris Bros. are a decent addition to the Tag Division and sizeable S.E.X. henchmen. Hell, Taker stole their DOA gimmick, Ha!

BG James (Road Dogg)... I still like him although the consensus here doesn't. He is entertaining.

Glen Gilbertti (Disco Inferno)... I love the Village People's Elbow.

Triple X... too damn talented than your run of the mill WWE cruiserweights.

Oh yeah, Mike Sanders could have been an amazing commishioner in the WWE unlike Sean Morley aka Val Venis.

Dlo is an arrogant and otherwise borign S.O.B., yes technically he may be talented, but he's boring. For soemone who can't appreciate wrestling from a historical perspective or from a matter of form etc, I think he sucks and I say good riddence.Wow, Gwenny has posted in the Wrestling Forum... World's colliding! :)

Gwen, you just about summed up D-Lo in a nutshell. He is boring storywise. But he does have that arrogant swagger that are typical of heel's of yore. He has done nothing angle wise in a few years and it looks like they are utilizing this racist angle to job him like they did to Raven.

Blame the WWE for misusing him. Blame 'creative' like Austin said. He might as well be released by the WWE. TNA would welcome him with open arms.

Gwen, post around here more often.

So, D'lo's gone, yet Paul Wight & Bradshaw are still on WWe's payroll.

I'm going to go smack my head against the wall now. Peachy, you forgot to mention the A-Tr.. can't say it, Albert!

Anyone saw Sunday Night HEaT? They showed 'exclusive footage' of what happened to D-Lo after he jobbed to Booker T.

Basically it showed him and Theodore Long going to the backstage area and getting ready to leave the arena. Teddy Long puts away his luggage in the trunk of his car but as D-Lo tries to put his stuff in, Long closes it.

Theodore Long: Playa, you let me you there. The wost part is that it is not to an oppressive white boy, you lost to a sell out, an Uncle Tom... Booker T.

D-Lo Brown: What?

Theodore Long: Well listen up playa. You are going to find out when the man does all that he can to put you down, you need a back-up plan.

[From behind him he gets beat down by a familar face, Roddy Mack aka Red Dawg. At this opint, D-Lo is on the ground and Long and Cena's boy get ithe vehicle and leave the scene.]

...

So this is D-Lo's swan song? Coach and Lita said that Long will explain his actions Monday. What will Cena say about his missing tag partner on Smackdown? Interesting.

Another great way to leave the WWE 'on a high note'... just like Raven.

Welcome to TNA, D-Lo (I assume)!

Wasn't D'lo the guy who messed up Droz? Could that be why?

Whats with JF Fortin and Rick Berry being scratched EVERY FREAKIN GAME? Are Joel Kwiatkowski and Jason Doig that much better?

Wasn't D'lo the guy who messed up Droz? Could that be why?

If they were going to release D'lo for that, they would have done it years ago, when the injury occured. However Droz immediately forgave D'lo for the accident and has said that D'lo should not be punished in any way for what happened.

So, D'lo's gone, yet Paul Wight & Bradshaw are still on WWe's payroll. You neglected to mention Kevin Nash. D'Lo used to be the color commentator on Heat and he did a good job. I think if they use him right he'll cut some really good promos. Add that to the fact that the man can get it done in the ring. I hope that he has some measure of success in TNA.....just like damn near everybody who got let go by the WWE. It is my imagination that when they go to TNA their potential is realised in a way that was COMPLETELY ignored in the WWE?

What do you want from us? We're EVIL! EVIL!!!!!!

I think the D.Lo craze ended with the Attitude Era and what they had him doing as of late was pretty much just prolonging the inevitable. Though he's a good talent, his release was bound to happen. WWE's been downsizing the roster. I'm waiting for the next one.
