Does anyone else think its completely unfair that Ron and Fez have to move bec of Don and Mike. granted Don and Mike have had success in afternoon drive in DC but lets be honest do they really have any competition there? Ron and Fez and Don and mike got to WNEW at virtually the same time and Ron and Fez have created a much bigger buzz in New York and have had a shitty time slot doing overnights and then middays where they have stiff competition in Limbaugh and Mike and the Mad dog not to mention all the music stations. Don and mike have no other big talk shows to compete with in their time slot and yet in a full year could not get decent ratings. at least ron and fez are creeping towards the 2's already. give them another 5 months in middays and theyll be in the mid 2's. Besides for screwing Ron and Fez they have completely screwed up this time shift situation. why not fire the chick and then start the new lineup right away instead of playing her best ofs? you fire a person bec you dont think they are good enough to be on your station yet you still play the show once the person leaves. how comical is that?

one more thing: put something else on after 11. Lovelines is terrible

if they go to the 7:00 hour what a lead in O&A are.i know i'll be keeping my radio on unlike now as soon as Don & mike come on my radio goes off.they could also go back to the .com days now that most people will be listening from home instead of work.

I think this has to do with Don & Mikes new contract. Don & Mike were originally supposed to be on 3-7 live but O&A got a lot of success causing them to get stuck with 7-11. Now they want to be on live so theyre moving to middays so they can be live in New York. At least with Ron & Fez moving now they will stay there hopefully because they will be either stay there or late nights unless someone gets fired.

I will get a sig pic...eventually

Personally I am happy that they are moving to 7-11, there's nothing but garbage in tv on most nights during that time period and I'd rather listen to R&F instead. Plus the new shift at my job now has me missing the entire show. And just three days ago I was able to listen to the whole show, but have had to miss O&A for about a month and a half. Now I can hear 'em both.

I dunno. I always thought of Ron & Fez as creatures of late night, like Letterman and Leno. I thought the audience was so much more offbeat at night. I for one think it was better radio. Of course, I don't mind mid-days, but Ron & Fez are no show to be sandwiched in. I think 7-11 may be good for them. Who knows?

And don't take things personally. Don & Mike did not SCREW Ron & Fez. This is business. I'm sure they have a professional relationship, and I'm willing to go out on a limb and say both set of jocks mutually respect one another. I don't think Ron & Fez take it any more personally than Don & Mike. You do what you need to do to advance your career, and that's the bottom line. The last thing on Don & Mike's minds were "let's think of new and interesting ways to fuck Ron & Fez over. "

Heres the way I look at it. R and F at 7pm gets the full 4 hours and also gets a lead in rating of almost 5 instead of the chicks 2. Thats a good deal.

It's just unfortunate Ron and Fez will have to move and start from the ground up. All of us are jaded because we're losers enough to be posting on their message board, so obviously we'll listen at 7. There's thousands more that don't post, that are casual listeners, that they'll be losing.

Don and Mike are successful countrywide, not just in DC. I, personally, love listening to them, and since they're more successful, they have more say.

I think everyone's missing something very important here: 7-11 spot marks...THE RETURN OF THE AFRO SHOW!

I'm with Skullcrush on this... If it wasn't for Syndication Underground I'd never hear the show. I've got to much computer equipment around me that creates interference. The move will be great for me.

Being on vacation I've had some time to calm down and think about this move, you know what time will prove us all right Ron and Fez are great talented people and I guarantee they will have better carriers and be around a lot longer than don & mike. I will have to tape the show and listen at work during the following day. Do whatever it takes support this great and wonderfull show. as far as don & mike they will not last in NY. (I hope) SEEEYUHHHH!!!

I'll be able to hear the show much more often at night... so I'm alright with the move.

I can't listen to the whole show now.(That's why no Big Ass Member). From 7-11 I probably won't be able to listen at all.

One thing I'm not clear on:
how the hell did all of you
listen to the entire show when
it was on 11PM-3AM? Do you
all work night shifts? (I
used to catch the 1st hour and
that's it.) Will the same
people who listened overnight
be able to listen 7PM-11PM?
Do you ever sleep?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Okey gvac, when the show was on overnights, I would catch a lot more of it, mainly b/c being a college student, I was usually up studying or reading or working on something for classes, so I was up. And I'm normally a night owl anyway, so it worked out fine...for me.

The 12-3 shift worked fine for a while, because my classes were around that time, but the last couple weeks it's been tougher b/c I've been busy at work.

The 7-11 shift I'm not sure about, so I'll have to wait and see to make judgement. I think it will be good for the ratings for the show, having a strong o & a lead in, but we'll have to wait and see.
