Whatever happened to the good kind of commentating? When JR was the straight up rasslin guy and King was the funny one that backed the heels and wanted to see puppies?
Now you got the way too serious commentary from both JR and Lawler...it sucks! At least you can make fun of Coach and Lita's horrible commentating but JR and King just sound depressed calling the match. Even the JR-Heyman team was better?
What do you fuckers think?

I thought that the Heyman/JR team was one of the best in recent years.

heyman knew how to add that little bit of backround info to flesh out the characters, while still backing the bad guys. The underlying tension that he and JR had just bubbling below the surface also worked well.

the JR/King act has gotten stale..they need some new blood up there. Personally i would have thought JR would have been a good logical choice for General manager of Raw.

the King is a shell of himself. with his wet spot on his ass in this wrestling tights.. he use to be a cool bad guy, but now he's lame. oh no JR is gettign beat up , i better go save him.. please. what he should have done is say JR is getting what he deserves and laugh.. i would like to see as an announcer is Y2J, or just a different wrestler each week doing it.. seeing who's the best... Lita on heat.. has got to be the worst ever announcing I have ever heard... that ugly bitch ,, don't give her closeups , or you see the dog she really is

The Cat and Josh Matthews are a hundred times worse than Lita.

I do agree that Ross and Lawler are getting stale. But Jim Ross is the greatest commentator ever. So it's not really his fault if the product sucks and he can't make it sound interesting. Lawler is old. Heyman was much betetr with Ross. But when I hear Coachman like I did on Monday, it makes me appreciate JR and Lawler much more.

OMG...I'm glad someone finally said something.I liked it better when it was as simple as this:JR=GOODGUY, KING =BadGuy. They have started to get along. Now it seems as if an episode of tom and jerry were they got along and those episodes sucked!! JR and the King fawn over each other to the point were i am convince they are going to just make out on one episode. Hey atleast we have Smackdown.

I'd love to see Joey Styles or Gertner get a shot on one of their shows....how can you go wrong with a fat guy with a bow-tie neckbrace

I'd love to see Joey Styles

I totally agree with you, but I think we're more likely to see a return by Bret Hart where he shakes Vince's hand & gives him a hug first.

Have you seen Gertner lately? he lost so much weight, he looks almost sickly.

My biggest issue right now is that JR is almost a parody of his old self. He's not up on the newer moves, and he doesn't tell a story anymore with the commentary.

While Michael Cole is bland, he and Tazz are doing a good job.

and i agree, it will probably be easier to get Jesus to call a match in the WWE than getting Joey Styles.

i have seen joel a couple of times on TNA and boy does it look like he got on the subway diet. I would even take Cyrus over Lawler right now, if you ask me Lawler is the issue, hes not backing the heels and hes not backing the faces, hes backing JR and chicks and thats it.

viddy what todd did!

Heyman and Jr were fantastic. I remember one quote from Heyman once...(when Stacy climbed into the ring) "GOD I'D LOVE TO BE THAT MIDDLE ROPE!"

As a long-time Paul E. Dangerously mark, I miss having Heyman in the booth. Even though Lawler's a legend in the business, he just has no business being behind the mike, and this became extremely evident the night he returned to the WWF and reclaimed his spot next to Ross. The Heyman/Ross team, while not exactly brilliant, were definitely entertaining and a lot more focused on matches than Ross/Lawler will ever be.

For heel commentators, you just can't get any better than Bobby Heenan. It's a damn shame he may never be able to call another match.

At least you can make fun of Coach and Lita's horrible commentating

I think it only took me one mumbled sentence from Lita to decide that Heat was best viewed on ''mute.''

the thing paul E said he was going to do was actually talk about the match and make sure people know about the wrestlers(like he did in ecw). not what they do in the wwf now and promote a HHH promo during an actual good match where they will not put over the wrestlers.

sean mooney! bring him back!

i still say, probably the best team at the desk was Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby The weasel Heenan

Heyman/J.R. was THE SHINIZZLENIT!!!

They were so funny together. My favorite Heyman commentating moments were when Heyman would do his pantened J.R. impression. God Heyman is awesome. Its too bad he has to manage Big Slow.
